The Gratitude Cabin

Located within the serene 13 Acres Wellness Center in Dripping Springs, Texas, these cabins invite you to focus on quieting your mind and filling your own cup. Not only do they make a great solo trip if you need time to yourself, they are also a great romantic getaway!

For as little as $85 a night (sometimes even less depending on when you book), your private cabin will keep you comfortable with its AC, heater, and a standing fan should you need it.

The property features restroom facilities, outdoor open-sky hot showers, breathtaking vistas, a butterfly garden, yoga classes, and hiking trails through the forest.

You can also visit the on-site cafe for nourishing meals and hot coffee, or explore the Tribe Market’s collection of handmade treasures.

I loved how this is not only an amazing, cozy wellness retreat, but it’s also affordable!

Caddo Shores Cabins

Caddo Shores Cabins (formerly Hodge Podge Cottages) neighbors the state’s only natural lake, Caddo Lake, and offers a tranquil escape from city life. Each cabin has its own personality with modern amenities like AC, fully equipped kitchens, and Wi-Fi.

We love staying at the Shipwreck, a two-deck house boat transformed from a WWII transport boxcar into a cozy stay with lakeside views.

Need something a little roomier? Lakeside Landing sleeps as many as 8 people!

Spend your day canoeing on the lake, fishing from the pier, or exploring the nearby towns of Jefferson and Marshall.

Grandview Treetops

Ready for an adventure that combines childhood dreams with adult luxuries? Look no further than Grandview Treetops!

Here, you can choose between two unique treehouses: the nautical-themed Dawn Treader or the open, minimalist Viewpoint.

Skybox Cabins

Experience the magic of nature with a dash of luxury at SkyBox Cabins in Glen Rose, Texas. Boasting Instagram-worthy accommodations, each cabin and glamping tent offers modern amenities like electricity, AC/heating, and hot water.

The Birdhouse cabin charms with its tree-house design, suspension bridge leading up to the second-floor bedroom, and accompanying balcony, while The Nest cabin provides a chic mix of “treehouse” and “bohemian bungalow,” with a human-size nest made out of cedar!

The La Tour cabin, inspired by 17th-century French Pigeonniers, offers stunning views and a picnic grill. The Glamp is a furnished bell tent complete with a queen-sized bed and an outdoor patio.

Yon’s Country Log Cabin

Immerse yourself in the charm of rural Texas with a stay at Yon’s Country Cabin, a quaint retreat near Bertram. Amidst lush woods, this cozy log cabin offers a peaceful escape from city life, while being just a short drive away from local attractions.

Three Graces Cabin

The Three Graces Cabin, just five minutes from downtown Wimberley, offers a harmonious blend of rustic charm and modern amenities.

Named after the Greek goddesses of Joy, Charm, and Beauty, this romantic one-bedroom log cabin is on 10 acres of picturesque Hill Country. Guests can enjoy leisurely strolls along Smith Creek, star-gazing from the hot tub, cozying up by the wood-burning stove, or taking a refreshing outdoor shower.

The cabin features a cedar canopy bed, handcrafted by the owner, and is equipped with environmentally-friendly amenities like EV charging, recycling facilities, eco-conscious cleaning products, and a reverse-osmosis drinking water system.

Thunderbird Lodge

The Thunderbird Lodge in Burnet offers a range of accommodations to suit all types of gatherings, from mini vacations and family reunions to weddings.

The lodge features everything from studio rooms to large standalone cabins with up to five bedrooms, and an Event Center that can accommodate up to 200 guests.

On the shores of Lake Buchanan, guests can enjoy numerous amenities including a private marina ramp, private fishing platform, boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, and watercraft like paddleboards, kayaks, and paddleboats.

A newly installed sundeck and pool area provide the perfect spot for relaxation and sunbathing.

Unique to the lodge is its bike-in, bike-out resort status, being the only year-round, lift-served mountain bike resort in the US, complete with MTB, helmet rentals, and an on-site repair shop.

The Coyote Cabin

The Coyote is a small cabin, approximately 12’ x 12’ on the inside, with a covered front porch and an extended side deck with a view east towards Palo Duro Canyon.

Designed for just two guests, it is furnished with a queen bed, table and chairs, a bathroom with shower and toilet, a kitchenette with a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, coffeemaker, and an outdoor area with gas grill (propane is provided). There is a Roku TV, a window A/C unit, and a panel wall heater.

The Bluebonnet Cabin

The Bluebonnet Cabin, the first built at City Escapes Cabins near Granbury, Texas, offers modern luxury and rustic charm, featuring shiplap walls and wooden furniture.

Enjoy amenities like a daybed swing on the front porch, a high-tech shower, a soaking tub, and a king-size bed with a Stearns and Foster mattress. You can also relax in the private hot tub under a cozy gazebo, perfect for stargazing.

Complimentary snacks, bathrobes, and a fully equipped kitchen are provided. There are two TVs with streaming services and live TV options.

A 10-minute drive from Granbury, named the Best Historic Small Town in the country in 2019 by USA Today. And don’t forget Glen Rose, famous for Fossil Rim and Dinosaur Valley State Park.

Walnut Canyon Cabins

This secluded property in Fredericksburg, Texas offers seven fully furnished cabins, each boasting breathtaking hilltop views. You’ll find everything you need in these cabins, including a full kitchen, private bathroom, and walk-in shower.

If you’re looking for something more luxurious, two cabins feature king-size beds, electric fireplaces, and hot tub access.

What’s more, each cabin offers unique outdoor features to enhance your stay. One cabin has a star-gazing roof deck, while the other boasts a private deck overlooking the stunning canyon.

To make your stay even more delightful, locally sourced breakfast ingredients are provided for you to prepare your own meals. Special dietary needs can be catered for upon request.

As a bonus, you’ll have the opportunity to feed treats to the resident cows!

Creekside Casita

Creekside Casita is a charming cabin with lots of outdoor space, plus one bedroom, a convertible chaise lounge that converts into a twin sleeper, a full-kitchen, living room, and a fold down dining table.

Additional amenities include a TV with cable channels and Blu-ray player, an iPod docking station, and a fireplace.

Guests can enjoy free Wi-Fi throughout the property, and a private washer/dryer for convenience.

Creekside Casita is just 10 miles from the Comal River and Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort. Nearby, there is also the public boat ramp at Schumann’s Beach, downtown New Braunfels, and Bandit Golf Club.

Cabins at Hoffman Haus

Hoffman Haus is a local B&B composed of old and new buildings just a block away from downtown Fredericksburg.

The Log Cabin is a rustic two-story house made from timbers of three separate log cabins. Looking for a smaller space? The cabins “Morning Star” and “Evening Star” are located in their own half of an 1840s log cabin.

However, both embody rustic elegance and have private covered porches equipped with rocking chairs or a sitting area, perfect for enjoying that one last glass of wine before bed after a day of exploring Fredericksburg’s iconic vineyards.

A chef-prepared breakfast is delivered in a picnic basket to each guest’s door promptly at 9am.

Best of all, there’s an on-site spa, tucked away inside an unsuspecting cottage, featuring a licensed massage therapist, natural aromatherapy, and a variety of services.

Whitetail Oaks Texas Star Cabin

The Texas Star Cabin, just 15 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg, offers a secluded getaway in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Notable features include a large whirlpool tub for two, a romantic gas fireplace (available from mid-November to mid-March), and an invigorating outdoor shower.

Hideaway at Hawkins

Escape to Hideaway at Hawkins, on the tranquil shores of Lake Hawkins, one of Texas’s most breathtaking spring-fed lakes. This charming cabin is the perfect haven for couples, families, or friends seeking an unforgettable getaway.

Stoney Porch Guest Cabin

Step inside this cozy cabin and you’ll find a well-appointed bedroom, a comfortable living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware. Plus, there’s even a washer/dryer for added convenience.

Stay connected with private Wi-Fi and enjoy your favorite shows on two cable TVs.

Outside, you’ll discover a natural oasis with four inviting seating areas, including a breathtaking 30-foot bluff porch where you can take in stunning views while cooking up a delicious meal on the gas BBQ grill.

For a tranquil retreat, head to the covered pergola aptly named “Lookout” or gather around the open fire pit for cozy evenings under the stars.

Cabin at Scurlock Farms

Guests of Scurlock Farms can enjoy a variety of activities, such as watching the grazing animals, hiking along the river, fishing lessons with a local guide, feeding baby goats and horses, gathering fresh eggs, driving a tractor, or picking dinner ingredients from the garden. More adventurous visitors can even help with tasks like planting or harvesting!

The accommodation was formerly the art studio of renowned Texas landscape artist, C.P. Montague, and is constructed of river rock from the property. It features a queen bed, quality linens, and is beautifully furnished.

Guests can also explore the Georgetown’s town square, historic homes, and businesses on a self-guided walking tour, or use free bike rentals to navigate downtown and its scenic trails. Austin is just a 30-minute drive away, providing guests with the best of both the country and the city.

Unique Dripping Springs Getaway

The Nautical House is a one-room cabin in Dripping Springs, built eight feet above the ground amidst the leaves of a large, looming tree.

The interior is characterized by rustic wooden decor, large windows, mounted TV, and a comfortable queen-size bed with nautical accents and cozy linens. There’s also a kitchenette, stocked with a coffee pot, electric cooktop, mini fridge, and toaster oven.

My favorite touch is the canoe-shaped bookcase in the corner and the little basket of wine and snacks left by the host.

Underneath the Nautical House, there’s a porch swing, as well as a fire table, covered picnic table, and corn hole set out back.

La Rouge

La Rouge is a charming and luxurious cabin rental nestled in the heart of the historic district of Fredericksburg, just a short stroll from Main Street. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern elegance.

The cabin boasts a spacious den with a cozy sofa, a wood-burning fireplace, and a 42″ TV with cable and ROKU for your entertainment. You’ll also find a convenient mini kitchenette complete with a microwave and mini-fridge.

The bedroom, accessible through beautiful French doors, features a king-sized bed adorned with luxurious Reilly-Chance bedding. And don’t miss the oversized bathroom with its romantic two-person shower.

For ultimate relaxation, indulge in the private hot tub on the back porch.

The Famous FloatHouse

The FloatHouse on Lake Travis is a unique rental combining the best aspects of a houseboat and a lakefront cabin. It’s a two-story, three-bedroom, full-size house that floats on the water, offering all necessary amenities.

It features a large front deck with an oversized picnic table, a balcony with hammocks, a rope swing, canoe, kayaks, a water slide, and a float pad. Indoor entertainment includes a full-size shuffleboard table, a pool table, and various games. A fish light attracts marine life for observation or fishing.

The house is in a no-wake zone, offering quick access to the main body of the lake without traffic. Unlike other locations, the house is easily accessible, just steps away from the shore’s edge.

The FloatHouse can accommodate families or larger groups such as bachelor/ette parties, offering a fun and safe environment with no need for driving.

Villa Cardinale Cabin

Villa Cardinale Cabin is a charming vacation rental in Helotes with two bedrooms, two baths, and a sleeping nook. It boasts a mix of rustic and modern decor, vaulted ceilings, and a fireplace.

The property features a flat-screen TV, electric fireplace, a fenced yard with a fire pit, and free Wi-Fi. Sleeping arrangements include two queen beds, a twin bunk bed in the sleeping nook, and a Pack ‘n Play for additional needs.
