  • South by Southwest (SXSW): An annual gathering of individuals across industries like interactive media, music, and film with activities like music festivals, film festivals, guest speakers, and exhibitions. March 10 – 19, 2023
  • Rodeo Austin: Ride fair rides, eat delicious food, watch rodeo and livestock competitions, and attend live concerts. March 10 – 25, 2023
  • NASCAR at Circuit of Americas: Not only will you be able to experience the excitement of NASCAR in Austin, but there will also be a BBQ competition, a concert from Darius Rucker, entertainment like impersonators, acrobats, and wrestlers, plus the chance to drive on the COTA racetrack for charity! March 24 – 26, 2023

Bay Area Houston

March

  • Moon 2 Mars Festival: The Houston Space Center’s annual space-themed festival with live music, food, and family-friendly experiences like learning about space tech and meeting astronauts. March 11 – 19, 2023
  • St. Patty’s Day Sail & Dinner Social: Spend the afternoon sailing on the Galveston Bay followed by a BYOB dinner with South Coast Sailing Adventures. The entree will be provided, and you’re invited to bring your own appetizer or dessert as well. March 25, 2023, 12 PM to 4:30 PM
  • 29th Annual Trash Bash (free): Attend the largest, single-day waterway cleanup in Texas and help clean the Galveston Bay watershed. March 25, 2023, 8 AM to 5PM, free to attend but must register online.

  • Astronomy in the Park (free): Pack up your telescope, your blankets, and lawn chairs and come out to Rustic Oak Parks for some stargazing. Monthly on the 1st Saturday, 7 PM to 9:30 PM.

  • Sip ‘n Shop at Cotton Creek Winery (free admission): Monthly on the 1st of the month
  • Yoga at Cattail Marsh (free): Bring your mat and attend a Vinyasa yoga class on the Cattail Marsh Boardwalk. Weekly on Saturdays until August 26th, 2023.
  • I-10 Flea Market (free admission): Explore a wide array of locally made items and antiques. Weekly on Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 8AM to 5PM. Location: 445 West Freeway (I-10, Vidor, TX)

Bellville

March

  • 19th Ever Classic Car Stampede (free admission): A car/truck/motorcycle show at the Jim Bishop Pavilion that is open to the public. Registration to compete is also free. March 11, 2023, registration begins at 8:30am. Event takes place from 9 AM to 1PM.

  • Bellville Market Day and Farmers Market (free admission): Shop vendors and fresh, local goods like seasonal produce, meat, and more! Monthly on the 1st Saturday. Opens at 9am. Farmers Market is open until noon. Market is open until 4 PM. Note: The Market is not held in January, June, July, or August.

Blanco

  • Music in the Cave – Spring Equinox: Experience the magic of music reverberating off the walls of this cave that stays a glorious 68 degrees year-round. March 18, 2023, 7 PM to 9 PM
  • Outdoor Family Fair (free admission): Get to know the Boerne community at this family-friendly festival. March 25, 2023, 10 AM to 2 PM

  • A Day at the Farm & Farmers Market (free admission): Spend time outside, shop, and hike the trails at Herff Farm. Special events vary, like classes or chances to volunteer with the Cibolo Center for Conservation. Weekly every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM
  • The Old Jail Museum Tours: Learn about Kendall County history inside this historic jailhouse that dates back to 1887. Tickets for visitors 10+ years old are just $5! Visitors under 10 will receive free admission. Weekly every Saturday.

Brownwood

  • Wheels That Move the World (free admission): You’ll be treated to a smorgasbord of vehicles that help keep this country — and this world — trucking forward. Military vehicles, trucks, tractors, internet providers, and so much more — the sky’s the limit.   • Big Band & Friends Show at the Brownwood Lyric Theatre: The Big Band Show is coming to Downtown Brownwood, and you won’t want to miss hearing these beautiful voices! March 18, 2023, 7:30 PM to 10 PM

  • Murder Mystery Dinner at Messina Hof Winery: Indulge in a three-course dinner expertly paired with Messina Hof’s crisp wines while playing a Murder Mystery game. The theme is Mardi Gras Masquerade so come dressed up! March 11, 2023, 7 PM to 10 PM

  • Beverage Flight Wednesday at Ronin Farm: The Ronin Farm will be serving flights of things like beer, wine, cocktails, or liquor that’ll change each week. Check their website to see what is being served that week. Book your spot online. Weekly every Wednesday during this spring, 5 PM to 10 PM.
  • Brazos Valley Farmers’ Market (free): Weekly every Saturday from 8 AM to noon.
  • Coffee Shop Social at POV by Pride Community Center (free): Visit with members and staff of the Pride Community Center while enjoying your favorite beverage at the POV Coffee House. Monthly on the 3rd Tuesday from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
  • Pop-up with Pure Barre at Lake Walk (free): Enjoy a sunset barre class monthly on the 4th Wednesday from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Be sure to come prepared with a yoga mat, towel, and water. Be sure to register online beforehand.

  • Live Music Fridays at Ghost Note Brewing (free admission): Spend time outside in Ghost Note Brewing’s open air taproom Friday through Sunday with live music and on-site food trucks. They will also be offering wine and cider. March 3 – 31, 2023 beginning at 5 PM.

  • Texas Motorplex Convoy Showdown: Come see the coolest bikes, trucks, and cars up-close! March 4 – 5, 2023
  • Texas Motorplex Funny Car Chaos: The Biggest Funny Car event in the world! Event scheduling can be found on the Texas Motorplex website when it becomes available. March 17 – 18, 2023

Future Events

  • Ennis Bluebonnet Trail Festival (free admission): Celebrating some of the state’s oldest bluebonnet trails, the festival will feature vendors, live music, and lots of opportunities for great photos with friends and family. April 14 – 16, 2023, bluebonnet trails are open until April 30, 2023.
  • National Polka Festival: Listen to live polka music, practice your moves, eat tasty food, and surround yourself with Czech culture. May 26 – 28, 2023

  • Arts in Bloom: Celebrate art in all of its forms in downtown McKinney with art pieces on display, music, wine, and food. There will also be a Kids Creation Station. April 14 – 16, 2023
  • KHYI’s 27th Annual Texas Music Revolution: Over 98 bands across 15 stages will be filling the square with all kinds of music. June 2 – 3, 2023

  • Thru the Chute (free for spectators): The famous Tube Chute will feature handmade boats attempting to survive the current with activities along the shore of the Comal River. April 29, 2023 (last day to register is April 18)

Palestine

March

  • Texas Dogwood Trails Celebration: March 17 – April 2, 2023
  • Dogwood Brunch Train: Take a tour through the East Texas woods as the Dogwood trees blossom. Appetizers will be offered to all classes on board, with other receiving complimentary champagne and cider. Other drinks will also be available for purchase. Lunch will be served at the Rusk TX Rail Depot. This train ride is 4 hours round-trip. March 18, 25 and April 1, 2023

Future Events

  • Texas State Railroad Events: The Texas State Railroad has released their calendar events for the year, including the following:
    • Easter Lunch Train: This adventure through the East Texas woods will resemble the Dogwood Lunch Train, with an Easter lunch being served at the Rusk TX Rail Depot. April 8, 2023
    • Wine in the Pines: You’ll receive complimentary appetizers on board along with samples of wine from Red 55 Winery in Lindale, Texas. You’ll get off at the Rusk TX Rail Depot for dinner under the stars. On the way back, dessert will be served. April 14, 2023

  • Saturdays on Main (free admission): You’re invited to explore downtown Palestine and all of its antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants. January 7 – November 4, 2023, on the 1st Saturday from 10 AM to 10 PM

Paris

March

  • Downtown Paris Mini-Golf Challenge: Your favorite game of mini-golf will go towards supporting future lighting plans in Paris. Different businesses will feature their own hole with equipment provided. Keep score and see who comes out the winner! Children 13 and under will play for free with an adult. March 18, 2023, 11 AM to 5 PM
  • St. Paddy’s Downtown Crawl (21+): 15 downtown businesses will be offering tastings of creations from Hop and Sting Brew & Co. of Grapevine, Texas. Come by and shop while you’re at it! Pick-up your wristbands in front of DeadCat at 27 Clarksville Street. March 18, 2023, 11 AM to 4 PM
  • St. Patrick’s Celebration at South Main Iron (free admission): This event will feature live music from 11 AM to 2 PM, food from Outer Space Cuisine, and free beer while supplies last! March 18, 2023, 9 AM to 2 PM.

Future Events

  • Steak Wars: Sample over a thousand steaks and enjoy live music, a mobile bar, and a cigar lounge. All proceeds will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of the Red River Valley. April 8, 2023, 11 AM to 4 PM
  • Texas Wine Fest (21+): Downtown Paris will feature wine samples from surrounding Texas wineries along with bites and sweets to try from local businesses. April 15, 2023, 6 PM to 9 PM
  • Mad Max Run: This obstacle course and mud run will prove to be a challenge, but equally as much fun. Children between 14 and 17 can run for free when they are registered with a participating adult. April 22, 2023, 9 AM to 2 PM
  • Balloon & Music Festival: Watch hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes take flight while you enjoy music, vendors, and kid-friendly activities. September 8 – 10, 2023

  • Spring/Summer Farmers Market (free admission): Shop for fresh, local produce, coffee, crafts, and other goods from surrounding small businesses. Weekly every Saturday (starting May 6th), 8 AM to 1 PM

Pearland

Future Events

  • Pearland Holi Extravaganza: Holi, also known as a springtime festival, has come to Pearland. There will be music, food, crafts, shopping, and so much more! April 1, 2023, 12 PM to 5 PM
  • Pearland Boutique Shop & Hop (free admission): Be entered to win a prize when you visit four or more of the 10 local Pearland businesses that will be present. There will also be snacks and drinks available. May 13, 2023, 10 AM to 5 PM
  • Pearland Restaurant Weeks: A variety of local restaurants will be creating special menus for you to try in support of the Pearland Neighborhood Center, a social services center serving the residents of Northern Brazoria County. November 7 – 20, 2023
  • Pearland Country Music Showcase (free): You’re invited to bring your coolers and lawn chairs/blankets for this country concert featuring Voice contestant, Holly Tucker. November 13, 2023, 4 PM to 6:30 PM

  • Texas Independence Day Celebration: Legacy Hall with be hosting their first ever Texas Independence Day celebration with a country music concert by Stoney LaRue and JD Clayton. March 2, 2023, 7 PM
  • Holi Mela Festival of Colors at Southfork Ranch: This color party will feature live music, traditional drums from India, food trucks, a full bar, and dance performances. March 4, 2023, 11 AM to 5 PM
  • Springtime on the Farm at Heritage Farmstead Museum: Go on a hayride, learn about farm chores like grinding corn, and so much! A free lunch will be provided but you are also welcome to bring your own lunch and a blanket. March 8, 2023, 10 AM to noon
  • Texas Forever Fest at Haggard Park (free): Come out for activities like calf-roping and line dancing lessons, mechanical bulls, food trucks, a whiskey tasting (with the purchase of a ticket), vendors, music, and a special area for the kiddos. March 25, 2023, 11 AM to 6 PM

  • Creative Confluence Arts Festival at Confluence Park (free): Nature and arts combine to celebration National Water Day. There will be hands-on art activities, a sensory scavenger hunt, music, dancing, food trucks, and more. March 11, 2023, 3 PM to 6 PM
  • St. Patrick’s Festival, River Parade & River Dyeing (free): Along with the annual dyeing of the San Antonio River, there will be a festival with food, live entertainment, and vendors, as well as two parades in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. March 17 – 18, 2023
  • 65th Annual San Antonio Folklife & Dance Festival: Watch local folk groups and live music at the Rolling Oaks Mall. Parking is free, but there will also be food and local vendors for your enjoyment. March 25 – 26, 2023, 12 PM to 5:30 PM both days
  • Charcuterie Class by Tim the Girl Catering: This event includes a take-home charcuterie board and two glasses of wine. March 29, 2023, 6 PM to 7:30 PM

  • Charcuterie Class in Salt Kitchen at Kiepersol: Sample wines, choose your favorite, and then learn to create your very own charcuterie board. There will be lots of food so don’t plan on just grazing! March 2, 2023, 6 PM to 8 PM
  • Azalea & Spring Flower Trail (free): Explore ten miles of Tyler’s residential gardens and historic homes that are full of bright flowers and blossoming trees during the spring.   • Spring Break Activities at Museum of the Coastal Bend: Take part in free activities (except for the Skull Terrarium Workshop) with the Museum of the Coastal Bend, such as crafts and games, as you learn about all of the different animals across Texas.
