Support local farms, small businesses, and other charitable organizations by visiting your local pumpkin patches and fall festivals. There are also several free, affordable, kid-friendly, and family-friendly fall festivities to experience all across Texas in 2022!

Keep in mind that some pumpkin patches/fall festivals wrap up on or around Halloween, but there are others that last into November! Soak up the fall fun while you can because we know fall temperatures don’t last very long in Texas.

Best Pumpkin Patches & Fall Festivals Near Dallas

The Dallas Arboretum (Dallas)

Autumn at the Dallas Arboretum is one of the best pumpkin patches in Texas! From September 17th through October 31st, 2022, the Dallas Arboretum will feature 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash throughout the garden, forming a one-of-a-kind pumpkin village, filled with a fairy tale carriage, houses, a maze, and many other fall-themed decorations. Tickets range from $12 to $20 a piece and children under 2 receive free entry. You can purchase your tickets in advance online.

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm (Grapevine)

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm and corn maze in Grapevine provides a classic pumpkin patch experience. The pumpkin patch will be open Wednesdays through Fridays from 3pm to 8 pm, Saturdays from 10am to 9pm, and Sundays from 1pm to 8 pm. This farm features a wide selection of pumpkins, as well as gourds, corn, and hay bales. There will also be a two-acre corn maze and old-fashioned hayrides! You can visit until October 31st, 2022, but be sure to bring cash, as this is a cash-only farm. Tickets can be bought on-site and range from $5 to $15; children under 3 get in for free.  

Pumpkin Nights (Arlington)

Pumpkin Nights in Arlington is a Halloween walking path with a variety of pumpkin exhibits, an artistic spin on the typical pumpkin patch experience. September 22nd through October 30th, 2022, from 6pm to 11pm, this pumpkin-lined walking path will feature 10-foot-tall Jack-O-Lanterns, a pirate ship, monsters, and many more surprises! Tickets are $14 and entry is free for children 3 and under. Tickets must be bought in advance online. 

Clearfork Pumpkin Patch (Fort Worth)

This Fort Worth pumpkin patch at the shops at Clearfork is the perfect place for fall fun in North Texas. There are amazing photo opportunities with the pumpkins, in the corn stalks, atop the hay bales, and in front of fall backdrops. There is also a hay maze, play area, and hay bale pyramid that is perfect for some family fun! This pumpkin patch experience will be open October 1st through the 31st, Wednesday through Friday from 4pm to 7 pm and Saturday/Sunday from 10am to 7pm. Tickets are $17 a person and children under 3 get in for free. Tickets must be purchased in advance online.

St. James Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch (Dallas)

The pumpkin patch at St. James Episcopal Church in Dallas will be open throughout the month of October 2022. This is a great option for larger families and groups who want to enjoy a pumpkin patch without the addition of an admission fee. It is free to enter, and the pumpkin prices vary by size. This patch is open Sundays from 11:30am to 7pm, Mondays from 1pm to 7pm, and Friday/Saturday from 10am to 7pm. 

Arapaho United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch (Richardson)

Arapaho United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch in Richardson will have free admission and multiple-size pumpkins available for purchase all through October 2022. This pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm and Saturday/Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. 

Pumpkins on the Prairie (Frisco)

Pumpkins on the Prairie in Frisco will have ‘lots of kid-friendly activities during October 2022 with free admission! There will be hayrides, face painting, bounce houses, and the Crave the Shave Dessert truck, home to shaved ice and novelty ice cream, plus fresh, baked goods. Pumpkin Patch at Christ United Methodist Church (Plano)

Christ United Methodist Church’s pumpkin patch is free to enter, and where visitors can take pictures and pick the perfect pumpkin. From September 25th through October 31st, 2022, the pumpkin patch will be open from 9am to 7pm daily. The only cost is the price for pumpkins of all sizes.

Lola’s Local Market (Melissa)

Lola’s Local Market will have pumpkin patch activities during weekends in October 2022 from 12pm to 4pm. Visitors can participate in hayrides, pumpkin painting, mazes, face painting, and family-friendly games. Admission is free and activities range from $1 to $5.

Cross Timbers Road Pumpkin Patch (Flower Mound)

Country Critters Farm Pumpkin Patch (Alvarado)

Country Critters Farm will be open October 1st through November 5th, 2022, from 10am to 5pm. For $7 to $10 (with children 2 years and under receiving free admission), tickets will include bounce houses, a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, hayrides, duck races, games, and storytelling. 

Sunset Hill Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch (Alvarado)

Sunset Hill Tree Farm, also in Alvarado, has the perfect pumpkin patch for your little ones. During the weekends in October, there will be a bounce house, playground, scarecrow, hayrides, pumpkin painting, horseshoes, and climbing walls to enjoy. Blase Family Farm Pumpkin Patch (Rockwall)

Blase Family Farm will have a pumpkin patch perfect for the whole family! September 24th through October 30th, 2022, for $10 a person, kids can enjoy the petting zoo, ride the hayride, explore the hay maze, or walk the wooded trail to see storyboards of Spookley the Square Pumpkin. This pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and Sunday from 12pm to 6 pm. Keep in mind that an online reservation is required.

Mainstay Farm Park (Cleburne)

Mainstay Farm Park will have ‘lots of fall farm activities, as well as a pumpkin patch! There will be sheep races, hayrides, pedal karts, a Ferris wheel, a sunflower patch, and plenty of entertainment for the kiddos. The pumpkin patch will be open Fridays (during the month of October) from 5pm to 9 pm, Saturdays from 10am to 9pm, and Sundays from 11am to 6pm until November 5th, 2022. Elves Christmas Tree Farm & Pumpkin Patch (Denison)

Elves Christmas Tree Farm and Pumpkin Patch will be hosting its fall festival and pumpkin patch throughout October 2022. There will be hayrides, farm animals, sack races, and a dress-your-own scarecrow station, all perfect for the kids. Admission is $15 for a pumpkin tour and includes all activities. Mars Hill Farm Pumpkin Patch (Ferris)

During Harvest at the Hill on Mars Hill Farm, you can cut your very own sunflowers and pick pumpkins! During October 2022, on Fridays and Saturdays, the pumpkin patch will be open from 8:30am to 2pm. There is a $5 entry fee and sunflowers are $2 per stem. On Saturdays, there will also be trailer rides, a petting zoo, and more fun activities!

First Christian Church Pumpkin Patch (Arlington)

The Pumpkin Patch at First Christian Church will be open daily from 11am to 7pm from October 9th through October 31st, 2022. Admission is free and the cost of pumpkins and gourds will range from 50 cents to $30 depending on their size. There will be over 4,000 pumpkins and gourds for sale and ‘lots of seasonal photo opportunities. For the kids, there will be games and a straw reading area. 

Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch (Sanger)

At Cobbins Family Pumpkin Patch, there is a giant maze to enjoy along with the pumpkin patch. On weekends in October 2022, visitors can enjoy the maze and a large playground, as well as a craft tent and lawn games. There will even be a toddler village and soft play area for infants! Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for kids, while children under 3 are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance online. The pumpkin patch will be open from 2pm to 7pm on Fridays and from 11am to 7pm on Saturday/Sunday.

Team Family Farms (Aubrey) 

Team Family Farms will be hosting a pumpkin patch from September 24th through November 6th, 2022, 10pm to 7pm daily. There will be pumpkin picking, a playground, and barrel train rides to the hay maze, as well as farm animal fun. Admission is $10 Monday through Friday and $15 on the weekends.

Dallas Farmer’s Market (Downtown Dallas)

The pumpkin patch at the Dallas Farmer’s Market will be September 17th through November 2nd, 2022 (10am to 5pm everyday) and is free to visit. Here, you’ll find over 25 local, Texas pumpkin varieties for sale, as well as live music, chef demos, and more. The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm (Gunter)

Preston Trail Farms and the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm will prove to be ‘lots of fun for the whole family! There will be pumpkin picking, as well as the chance to learn about more than 50 farm animals up close and personal. There will also be a 6-foot-tall hay maze, a hayride, and a roping pin. From September 17th through November 23rd, 2022, the pumpkin patch will be open 8am to 8pm daily. Admission is $10 a person.

Barton Farms Pumpkin Patch (Van Alstyne)

Barton Farms Pumpkin Patch will have $10 admission, which includes a hayride and unlimited games/activities. On weekends in October 2022, the patch will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 8pm and Sundays from 12:30pm to 5pm. 

Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm (Midlothian)

Shadow Creek Pumpkin Farm will be open in October 2022 for several weekends of family fun. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for children 3 to 12 years old. There will be a corn maze, a hayride, a petting zoo, and so much more! This pumpkin patch will be open Saturday 10am to 6pm and Sunday from 1pm to 6pm. Tickets can be purchased online.

Lone Star Family Farm (Stephenville)

Lone Star Family Farm will have multiple corn mazes, including an expanded, 6-foot tall one and a tiny one, corn cannons, and other fall festival activities. This pumpkin patch will be open September 24th through November 5th (except November 4th), 2022. Hours will be Fridays from 4pm to 9:30pm, Saturdays from 10:30am to 9:30pm, and Sundays from 1:30pm to 7:30 pm. Pitchfork Pumpkin Patch (Royce City)

The Pitchfork Pumpkin Patch will be open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday 12pm to 5pm. There will be ‘lots of pumpkin activities, such as pumpkin smashing, pumpkin painting, and pumpkin carving. Admission and parking are free, although certain activities will have an additional cost.

Palabra de Vida Pumpkin Patch (Denison)

The Palabra de Vida Pumpkin Patch will be held from October 16th through October 31st, 2022, from 12pm to 8pm. Admission is free and there will be plenty of photo ops, food, desserts, and pumpkins for purchase.

St. John United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch (Arlington)

This pumpkin patch will be open throughout October 2022 from 10am to 8pm daily. It is free to enter, and pumpkins will be available purchase. All proceeds benefit local youth mission projects.

5G Pumpkin Patch (McKinney)

5G Farm Pumpkin Patch will be open throughout October 2022, featuring an abundance of fall festival activities. There will be a corn maze, bounce houses, a mini corn maze, food, vendors, and more. Tickets are $5 a person. The pumpkin patch will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 5pm, Friday from 11am to 7pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from noon to 5pm. 

Gentle Zoo Pumpkin Patch (Forney)

Gentle Zoo Pumpkin Patch will be open during October 2022 and will feature farm activities, as well as added fall festival activities. There will be pumpkins, squash, corn, and more for sale, along with several photo opportunities. All proceeds will benefit the animals at the Gentle Zoo. The pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Thursday 9:30am to 2pm, Friday/Saturday 9:30am to 7:30pm, and Sunday from 11am to 6pm. 

Jacksboro Pumpkin Patch (Jacksboro)

Jacksboro Pumpkin Patch will be open weekends during the month October for BBQ, photo ops, and themed events, most notably the costume contest on October 30th. Online tickets are $12.50, and tickets will be $15. Kids 2 and under and seniors 75+ will receive free admission. The pumpkin patch will be open on Saturdays from 10am to 8pm and Sundays from noon to 6pm.

Turk Farm Pumpkin Patch (Point)

The 4th Annual Pumpkin Patch at Turk Farm is offering free entry, pumpkins, farm animals, and more! The pumpkin patch will be open through October 30th, 2022, Thursday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm and Sunday from 2pm to 7pm.

Pumpkin Patch at Texas Home & Garden (Fort Worth)

The Texas Home and Garden Pumpkin Patch will be open at least through the end of October, with the same hours as the store, and with an abundance of pumpkins for sale.

Austin Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch (Bastrop)

The Austin Fall Festival, Pumpkin Patch, and Corn Maze at Barton Hill Farms is the perfect experience for the entire family and is considered the best pumpkin patch in Central Texas! Here, there will be pumpkin picking, a corn maze, plenty of fall time photo ops, and it is right next to the beautiful Colorado River. This farm’s fall festival activities will be available October 1st through November 6th, 2022, Saturdays from 10am to 6pm and Sundays from 10am to 5pm. Tickets are available online.

Texas Pumpkin Fest (Leander)

Texas Pumpkin Fest is held October 8th through October 30th, serving the greater Austin area with a fall festival and Halloween experiences for the whole family. There will be a pumpkin patch, slides, trains, many photo opportunities, and a Tent of Terror. The festival will have ‘lots of pumpkins and gourds for sale as well. On Tuesdays, there is free admission for everyone, while Wednesdays and Thursdays are $5 a person. However, First Responders, the military, veterans, and their families are eligible to receive free admission on Wednesdays. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, tickets are $10 a person. Kids in diapers and those with special needs will always receive free admission. Tickets are available online.

Mama Mary’s Farm Pumpkin Patch (Creedmoor)

At Mama Mary’s Farm, guests can pick pumpkins, interact with farm animals, take a train ride, go through the hay maze, and so much more. On the weekends, there will be craft and food vendors as well. The pumpkin patch is open September 24th through October 30th Wednesdays through Sundays, from 10am to 6pm. On weekdays, tickets are $7 and $14 on the weekends, while children 2 and under get in free. Tickets can be purchased online.

Pumpkin Nights (Austin)

The same Pumpkin Nights located in DFW is also available in Austin. There will be a half-mile walking path lined with pumpkins featuring a pirate ship and different fantastical creatures made from both real and artificial pumpkins. There is also a fall festival area with more activities and delicious food and drinks. Pumpkin Nights is open from October 8th to October 30th, 2022. Tickets are sold online. Weekday admission ranges from $14 to $18 while weekends are $18 to $26. Children 3 and under always get in free.  

Sweet Eats Fruit Farm Fall Festival (Georgetown)

The Georgetown Fall Festival at Sweet Eats Fruit Farm will be held from September 10th through November 20th, 2022. This safari-themed corn maze and giant pumpkin patch has over 40 types of pumpkins, as well as a variety of activities, including a petting zoo, mazes, pony rides, crafts, wagon rides, food trucks, live music, and fireworks (Fridays and Saturdays only). Pumpkins are sold per pound and can be decorated on-site or brought home for carving. The fall festival will be open every day from 9am to 6pm during the month of November. During October, it will be 9am to 8pm Sunday through Thursday, and 9am to 10pm Friday/Saturday.

Sweet Berry Farm Fall Festival (Marble Falls)

Sweet Berry Farm will have loads of fun activities for the whole family from mid-September through mid-November 2022. With tickets, which can be bought on-site, visitors can participate in the candy corn maze, barnyard maze, pumpkin painting, scarecrow stuffing, flower picking, riding a barrel train, and even pony rides. Pumpkins and gourds will be available for purchase and are individually priced. Mondays through Saturdays, the harvest hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm except Wednesday, the patch is closed. Sundays, the hours are 11am to 5pm.  

Crowe’s Nest Farm Fall Festival (Manor)

Crowe’s Nest Farm has the perfect family weekend fall festivities. Every weekend in October from 10am to 5pm, there will be a pumpkin patch, milking demos, horse rides, hayrides, and barrel train rides. There will also be live music and snacks. Online tickets are $12 to $15 a piece or family packs can be bought for $50.

Indian Springs Ranch Pumpkin Patch (Manchaca)

The Indian Springs Ranch Pumpkin Patch will be held September 30th through October 30th, 2022. On top of your usual pumpkin patch and fall festival activities, this ranch also has exotic animals and an authentic Native American tipi. There will also be photo opportunities with unique fall-themed backgrounds, face painting, crafts, and food. The pumpkin patch is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but it is open Wednesday through Friday from 2pm to 6pm, as well as Saturday/Sunday 10am to 6pm. Tickets are $5 during the week and $12 on the weekends, with children under 2 getting in free.

Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival (Dripping Springs)

The Dripping Springs Pumpkin Festival is 5 acres full of fall fun! September 24th through October 31st, 2022, there will be games, attractions, and various activities, perfect for the whole family. There will be art opportunities, food, and beverages, as well as live music. This pumpkin patch is open daily from 10am to 7pm, except for Tuesdays. Pumpkin Patch at Elgin Christmas Tree Farm (Creedmoor)

The Elgin Christmas Tree Farm has a multitude of activities for the whole family this fall. Frobergs Farm Fall Festival (Alvin)

From September 24th through November 6th, 2022, Frobergs Farm will host a fall festival with weekend activities (9am to 7:45pm) like plastic duck races, a variety of games that use cannons, a barrel train, a playground, flower-picking, and a pumpkin patch! During the week, the playground, plastic duck races, and the corn maze will also be available from 9am to 5:30pm (last wristband will be sold at 4pm). Wristbands cost $12 for everyone 3 years and older. Keep in mind that, to enjoy the weekend activities, you must buy tokens.

Old Time Christmas Tree’s Pumpkin Patch (Spring)

On weekends in October, this pumpkin patch in Spring TX will give visitors a real farm experience. Here, families can buy pumpkins or visit one of the many attractions on the farm, including hayrides, train rides, petting zoos, and bounce houses. The photo opportunities here are unmatched with Christmas trees in the background, along with hay bales and pumpkins. There will also be a selection of delicious treats, like BBQ and funnel cakes. St. Andrew’s Pumpkin Patch (Pearland)

St. Andrew’s Pumpkin Patch is one of the top fundraising patches in the Houston area. It will be open from September 25th until November 6th, 2022, offering a free opportunity to see thousands of pounds of pumpkins and a variety of gourds. The church uses the proceeds to fund the church’s community outreach missions and support its fellowship. The pumpkin patch is open Monday through Thursday from noon to 8pm, as well as Friday through Sunday 10am to 8pm.

7-Acre Wood’s Pumpkin Patch (Conroe)

7 Acre Wood will have pumpkins all October long! This park is open Monday through Saturday, from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. Here, your whole family can take pictures with pumpkins, experience a hayride, visit a petting zoo, and play in the old Western play town. Horizon Baptist Church Pumpkin Patch (Missouri City) 

This pumpkin patch will be open October 1st through the 31st on Sundays through Thursdays from noon to dusk, as well as Fridays from noon to 8 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to dusk. Old MacDonald’s Farm Pumpkin Patch (Humble)

Blessington Farms Pumpkin Patch (Simonton)

Blessington Farms will have a pumpkin patch and fall festival every Saturday and Sunday from September 17th through November 20th, 2022, from 9am to 4pm. Weinberg’s Rosehill Farms will feature pumpkins, hayrides, photo opportunities, and fall produce on weekends in October. Jenschke Orchards Pumpkin Patch (Fredericksburg)

Jenschke Orchards has an amazing, giant corn maze and homegrown pumpkin patch in the fall. In October, the orchard will be open Friday through Sunday from 9am to 7pm. Admission is paid upon arrival and includes the giant corn maze, wagon rides, the pumpkin patch, peach mountain, and many more fall festival activities. Pumpkins can even be bought for just $0.75 a pound!

Trader’s Village Fall Festival (San Antonio)

Trader’s Village is having its 5th Annual Corny Maze on weekends in October and November (through November 27th). You and your family can expect a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, slides, rides, photo ops, and ‘lots of yummy food! The Corny Maze will be open from 10am to 5pm on the weekends, and $15.99 gives all-day access to the maze and rides. For an additional cost, you can also try out the apple cannon.

Black Barn Alpacas Fall Festival (Floresville)

Black Barn Alpacas will be holding its 1st Annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch. Located about 45 minutes from downtown San Antonio, this pumpkin patch is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10am to 7pm (for pumpkin patch access only). On the weekends, the pumpkin patch is open Friday from 10am to 10pm with activities starting at 4pm. Additionally, the festival is open Saturdays from 12pm to 10pm and Sundays from 12pm to 5pm with activities lasting all day, including carnival games, pumpkin patch fun, hayrides, food trucks, photo opportunities, live music, and you can even pet the alpacas! Admission is $10 and children under 2 get in for free. Tickets can be purchased online.

Graff 7A Ranch Pumpkin Patch (Hondo)

On weekends in October, guests can enjoy an 8-acre maze, hayrides, slides, hay bales, photo props, and a train at Graff 7A Ranch. Pumpkins can also be bought on-site for your cooking, decorating, painting, or carving needs. Tickets are $14 to $18.50 and must be bought online, as the patch is cashless this year. Visit on Fridays from 6pm to 9pm, Saturdays from 10am to 9pm, and Sundays from noon to 5pm.  

Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch (Pipe Creek)

Pipe Creek Pumpkin Patch is located about 30 minutes away from San Antonio on a Christmas tree farm. The pumpkin patch activities here are perfect for children. This farm will be open on weekends in October from 11am to 5:30pm. Admission is $6 and includes hayrides, visiting farm animals, scarecrow fun, 6000 Christmas trees, and ‘lots of photo opportunities. There is also a kid’s train and pumpkin painting available with the purchase of tickets.

Alamo Heights UMC Pumpkin Patch (San Antonio)

Alamo Heights United Methodist Church is going to have a pumpkin patch from October 1st through October 31st, with proceeds supporting community outreach. Admission is free and all are invited to join anytime from 9:30am to 7pm. This is the perfect place for holiday photos or purchasing pumpkins. No appointment is required. 

Devine Acres Farm Pumpkin Patch (Devine)

Devine Acres Farm is celebrating fall with a pumpkin patch filled with activities. On weekends in October from 10am to 5pm, you can see live entertainment and choose from almost 50 activities, including friendly farm animals, all kinds of food and snacks, and so much more! Tickets can be purchased online for $14 and at the gate for $18. Children 2 and under are free.

Murphy’s Pumpkin Patch (San Antonio)

Murphy’s Christmas Tree Lot and Pumpkin Patch will have all sizes of pumpkins available for sale. Admission is free to enter the pumpkin patch and visitors will only pay for the pumpkins they take home. Visit anytime in October, Monday through Sunday, from 8am to 10pm. 

Love Creek Orchards Pumpkin Patch (Medina)

Love Creek Orchards will host a pumpkin patch on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays in October. At this apple orchard, there are tree-ripened apples, cider, and apple goodies, on top of all the added fall festival activities. Admission is $8 (for kids 3 years and older), including pumpkin painting, tours, a hayride, a hay maze, and the chance to play an instrument in the Great Hill Country Symphony. It’s suggested to arrive early if you can so as not to miss out on some of the activities. The barrel train will cost $1 per ride. Active-duty military will receive $5 admission with their I.D.

Universal City Pumpkin Patch (Universal City)

The Universal City Pumpkin Patch will benefit various organizations. Admission is free, but the staff asks that you buy at least one pumpkin to support their cause. This pumpkin patch is open October 8th through October 29th on Mondays through Thursdays from 3pm to 7pm, as well as Fridays through Sundays from 10am to 7pm. 

Owl Creek Farm Pumpkin Patch (San Antonio)

Owl Creek Farm will have pumpkins all October long. Tickets are $8 each but discounts will be provided for military, firefighters, EMTs, and police with a badge or I.D. There will be pony rides, hayrides, a petting zoo, potato launching, family games, pumpkins, and photo opportunities. The pumpkin patch will be open Saturdays from 9am to 6pm, Sundays from 10am to 5pm, Wednesdays from 9am to 1pm, and Fridays from 4pm to 7pm. 

Helotes Hills UMC Pumpkin Patch (Helotes)

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church will host a pumpkin patch this year. It will be open Sunday through Friday from noon to 8pm and Saturdays from 10am to 8pm. There will be photo opportunities and ‘lots of pumpkins to choose from.
