A couple attempts to organize a church Christmas pageant, only to face the challenge of casting the mischievous Herdman kids – possibly the most creatively troublesome kids ever. Adopt an Angel

The Salvation Army Angel Tree will be at the NorthPark Mall from Nov. 3 to Dec. 2, 2023. Select an Angel and donate presents, clothing, and necessities. Drop off your unwrapped gifts at The Salvation Army Mobile Truck, located in the northeast parking lot at NorthPark on December 1 and 2 between 11:30 AM and 5 PM.

There will also be a Salvation Army Angel Tree at the Galleria Mall. Choose an Angel by December 2 and drop off your unwrapped gifts at the Drive Through Gift Drop Off on Dec. 1 and 2 between 11:30am and 5:30pm. The Salvation Army will deliver them in time for Christmas. Nov. 3 – Dec. 2, 2023.

Christmas on the Farm (Nov. 24-26, Dec. 2-3, 2023)

If you want a Christmas with a little country flair, you’ve got to go to Christmas on the Farm at Tx-Ture Farm.

Take a magical ride on the PACA Express, a barrel train ride that takes you through the farm’s Christmas tree fields, where you’ll spot alpacas grazing peacefully. Plus, you can wander the local artisan market and find all kinds of awesome handmade gifts.

It’s a laid-back place with plenty of laughs, good eats, and maybe even a new alpaca friend to selfie with.

Flower Mound Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting (Dec. 2, 2023)

Christmas in the Branch (Dec. 2, 2023)

Experience the festive magic with Farmers Branch’s new holiday drone show and more in the Farmers Branch Historic Park!

Ice Skating at Stockyards

If you’re in Dallas and want to do something unique and exhilarating for Christmas, you’ve got to try ice skating at the Stockyards. It’s a popular seasonal attraction that transforms the historic Fort Worth Stockyards into a winter wonderland. It’s a must-do holiday activity for all ages.

Holiday Lights Trolley Ride

If you’re in Dallas and love Christmas lights, you have to try the Holiday Trolley. For $25, you get to cozy up for a one-hour tour through the city’s glowing, festive decorations. It’s perfect for a night out with your significant other or a fun time with friends and family. They also play Christmas music, making the ride even more enjoyable!

The Holiday Trolley is a popular attraction, so it’s a good idea to book your tickets in advance. Dec. 1 – 24, 2023. Times vary; rides take place from 6pm – 8pm.

Christmas Lights, Chocolate & Sips Tours: Park Cities

Indulge in a sweet holiday experience on a private heated motorcoach! Enjoy the festive views of holiday lights while savoring delectable treats from premier local dessert venues (venues may vary, as several tours may be going on at once). Santa Day at Frontier of Flights

Santa decides to take a different ride this time and flies from the North Pole in a helicopter! His arrival time at the Frontiers of Flight Museum is estimated to be 10:30 am. Photos with Santa will last from 11am to 1pm. There will also be music, sweet treats, and drinks to sip on. Dec. 2, 2023, 10am to 2pm. This event is included with admission into the Frontier of Flights Museum.

Annual Naughty or Nice Bar Crawl

Hosted by Dallasites101, this themed bar crawl will include 12+ bars along Greenville, two afterparties, and exclusive drink specials. Check-in location will be the Four Day Weekend Comedy Club. Then, you’re free to hop from bar-to-bar at your own pace, with lots of music, photo ops, and decor. You’re encouraged to come in your favorite holiday costume! Dec. 9, 2023, 12pm to 5pm. Fairview Town Center

Indulge in a delightful breakfast experience featuring a personal visit with Santa at the Fairview Town Center. Each child will receive a gift bag, and enjoy story time with Santa.

Capture the magical moments at the photo area, where you are welcome to use your own camera. There is a limit of two “under 2” tickets (which are free) per paying adult.

Joe Farmer Recreation Center

Santa is turning JFRC into his very own workshop, so come and meet Santa in person!

Explore Santa’s toy shop for lovely gifts, take part in festive holiday crafts, savor a delightful breakfast with Santa, and don’t forget to capture the occasion with a picture alongside the jolly old man himself! The first 100 attendees will receive free breakfast. Dec. 9, 2023. Breakfast will be 9:30am to 10:30am. The event will end at 2:30pm.

Christmas at the Hilton Anatole

The whole family can enjoy an array of holiday-themed activities and experiences. Guests can enjoy breakfast with Santa, create holiday crafts, and experience over 40 shows and activities across three main areas described as the North Pole Adventure. This includes a Christmas Village, Holiday Maze, Toy Factory, Elf Village, and of course, the Winter Wonderland.

A new feature introduced in recent years at Christmas at the Anatole is Peppermint Park. The beautiful courtyard between the hotel and Jade Waters water park has been included as part of the festivities.

Tamale Day at the Dallas Farmers Market

Come out and enjoy 10 varieties of fresh tamales, with varieties like corn husk, banana leaf, traditional, vegan, dessert-based, and more! Hot Cocoa with Santa

Experience the joy of the season as Santa visits the Nature Center at Ray Roberts Lake State Park – Johnson Branch! Join him for a delightful morning of hot cocoa and coffee. Listen to heartwarming stories, ask him questions, and don’t forget to share your Christmas list with the jolly old man himself!

The program is included in park fees ($7 per person 13 years and older, free for 12 years and younger). Dec. 16, 2023, from 10am to 11am.

Old City Park’s 51st Candlelight

Experience the magic of the season at Old City Park’s 51st Candlelight, the longest-running holiday event in Texas!

There will be 13 acres of beautifully decorated buildings, strolling carolers, craft vendors, food trucks, and engaging crafts for kids.

As night falls, the walkways will glow with candlelight, creating a perfect holiday setting for friends, dates, and families to come together and celebrate the spirit of the season. Tickets are available for between $10 and $20. Dec. 16 & 17, 2023, from 3pm to 9pm.

Ride the Polar Express

The North Pole Express 2023 trains are all full, but you can still grab a ticket and experience the magic of the After Christmas Trains. They will transport you to the Fort Worth stockyards for a look around, as well as the “Great Train Heist,” where you’ll help catch a bank robber! Tickets can be purchased online for $18 – $72. Dec. 26-30, 2023.

Hall-idays at Legacy Hall

Tour of Trees at Trinity Falls (FREE)

Experience the magic of the holiday season with a unique twist at Trinity Falls in McKinney, Texas. The community is hosting a FREE Tour of Trees event that is sure to light up your Instagram feed and your holiday spirit.

Each tree at the event has been decorated with an adorable theme. Visitors can marvel at trees decked out in Barbie decor, comic book flair, Dallas Mavs memorabilia, and even a heartfelt tribute to our brave First Responders.

The GM Financial Fort Worth Parade of Lights is where the holiday magic happens in Dallas. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on Dallas’s festive calendar. A night where the whole city lights up with twinkling floats and merry music. You can watch them all go by, with entertainers making you laugh and dance along.

The best part? Santa shows up at the end, which is perfect for getting everyone excited for Christmas. The parade begins at 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2023

Lights of Ennis Parade

Get into the holiday spirit as the season kicks off with the Christmas Parade of Lights, Block Party, and Christmas Market on November 30, 2023!

Richardson’s 51st Annual Christmas Parade

Embrace the spirit of the season with this year’s theme, “The Parade of Misfit Toys.” The parade makes its return to the West side of town, starting at Richardson High School, heading North on Coit Road, and concluding at JJ Pearce High School. The event supports the Network of Community Ministries. Dec. 2, 2023, at 9am.

Parade of Lights (The Colony)

Starting at 5:45pm, the route will begin at Peters Colony Elementary parking lot, proceeding west on Nash to Blair Oaks, and then south to The Five Star Complex.

At the same time, enjoy Holiday in the Park at 5 pm in Perryman Park (4930 S. Colony Blvd.), featuring festive holiday music, performances, activities, rides, and a holiday light trail. The day will also mark the kickoff of the city’s Christmas Spectacular light show at Central Fire Station. Dec. 2, 2023, from 5pm – 8pm.

Holiday Main St. Fest & Parade (Rowlett)

Discover the magic of the season at the Holiday Main St. Fest, featuring a diverse selection of holiday craft and food vendors.

The Dallas Holiday Parade stands as the city’s largest one-day outdoor event, broadcast on more than 350 television stations in 159 markets. Evolving into a popular holiday tradition, it attracts thousands of families from North Texas and coast to coast. There will be parade treats, merchandise, and more! Dec. 2, 2023, 9:00-11:00 a.m. Tickets start at $25 and are available on their website.

March of the Toys (Plano)

Attend downtown Plano’s returning parade with appearances from Santa, cheer squads, Plano ISD bands, and JROTCs. Dec. 2, 2023, at 2pm.

Santa & Friends on the Move (Farmers Branch)

The local fire and police department will be escorting Santa along a parade route on Dec. 9, 2023. Parade route map will be released on their website soon.

McKinney Rotary Club Christmas Parade of Lights

The parade is set to kick off at 6:30pm, and the organizers want you to have a hassle-free experience in Historic Downtown McKinney!

Since parking is limited, take advantage of the free trolley service available from 5pm to 9pm the day of the event. Hop on the trolley at First Baptist Church (1615 W Louisiana St, McKinney, TX 75069), and enjoy a convenient ride to Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park, just one block west of the square.

After the parade, the trolley will pick you up at Mitchell Park to smoothly return you to your vehicles at First Baptist. This year’s parade theme is “Christmas Movie Magic.” Dec. 9, 2023, at 6.30pm.

Shop at a Christmas Market in Dallas

Holiday Vendor Market at Grandscape

Accompanying their holiday movie nights will be a nighttime market at Grandscape. It’s hosted in partnership with Happily Ever Sip & Shop and features over 60 local market vendors throughout Grandscape’s center, offering a variety of unique gifts and goods.

In addition to the market, the event includes live performances, carolers, and opportunities for photos with Santa. You can even spot live reindeer and write letters to Santa! The event is scheduled to take place on November 18, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm.

Another notable event is the NTX Vintage Market’s Holiday Bazaar at Grandscape, which will be held on December 17, 2023, from 12pm to 5pm.

Christmas in the Village

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit, you can’t miss Christmas in the Village at McKinney Farmers Market.

The market is beautifully decorated with twinkling lights, and you can smell delicious holiday treats all around. You can do some holiday shopping as local artists and vendors sell special handmade gifts. The festive market will host a variety of new holiday attractions, like cookie decorating and storytelling by Santa’s elves.

As the day draws to a close, warm up with a cup of hot cocoa and indulge in a variety of toppings from the free toppings bar. Dec. 16, 2023 from 8am to 12pm.

Decorator’s Warehouse (Arlington)

Renowned as Texas’ number one Christmas Store, it is a favorite destination for both locals and visitors alike. This festive haven offers sales leading up to Christmas, featuring special holiday collections such as the Gingerbread Collection, Santa’s Sweet Shoppe, and more—all at great prices!

The Shops at Park Lane

You’ve got to check out The Shops at Park Lane. This place lights up with Christmas decorations that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a holiday postcard. You can hunt for gifts at all the cool stores—there’s something for everyone on your list. And when you need a break, just drop by one of the cozy cafes or restaurants. They also have this huge 14-foot snow globe that you can step inside for an awesome photo – talk about the perfect spot for a memorable Christmas picture!

The Shops at Park Lane also host a number of holiday events throughout the season. These events include carolers, tree lighting ceremonies, and even a visit from Santa Claus. Be sure to check the mall’s website for a complete schedule of events

Indulge in Holiday Spa Treatments

At Vivian’s Spa you can take a break from all the holiday chaos with their relaxing holiday spa treatment offerings. Try a Candy Cane Forest Foot Ritual, a Cinnamon Maple Syrup Marshmallow Massage, or one of their themed packages like the “Holiday Hug.” It’s definitely something that will leave you relaxed and in the holiday spirit!

Visit Texas’ very own North Pole with over 40 on-site Christmas activities!

There will be three different sections with all kinds of crafts, shops, shows, and more! You can also get tickets for breakfast with Santa, which includes a buffet, games, and cookie decorating.
