The Jones CHRISTmas Ranch
We love a good drive-thru Christmas light display, and you’ll find just that at The Jones CHRISTmas Ranch, a critical part of Boerne’s holiday festivities run by a local family of four.
For just $30 per vehicle, you can enjoy over 3 million lights synchronized to your favorite holiday tunes spanning across 32 acres. Simply tune your car radio to 94.5 FM!
At least 10% of their profits go to their local non-profit, Shine Bright Ministries, which serves women and children’s homes. Tickets can be purchased at their on-site ticket booth. Both cash and card are accepted. Open nightly Nov. 14-Jan. 2, 2024; Sun-Thurs, 6 pm to 10 pm; Fri & Sat, 6 pm to 11 pm; Open until midnight the week of Christmas.
Boerne Holidays Gift Market
The Boerne Handmade Market is one of the largest markets of its kind in South Texas, so you know it has to be one of the best places for Christmas shopping! At this shopping event, you can browse collections of handmade products, including art, jewelry, household goods, and more, from over 70 vendors! It’s an easy way to support local businesses and simultaneously find the perfect holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for everyone on your list.
The BHM will take place at the Cana Ballroom on historic main street, with the VIP market on Nov. 17 and the public market happening on Nov. 18, 2023. Purchase your tickets here.
Dickens on Main (Free)
If you prefer to celebrate the arrival of Christmas AFTER Thanksgiving, then the Hill Country’s premier holiday celebration, Dickens on Main, is the perfect event for you!
It’ll feature lots of live entertainment, from bands to dance groups, an ice carving show, the one-and-only Dickens Market; a Tiny Tim Village for the kids with crafts, photos with Santa, and trackless train rides; Christmas storytelling, a Birds of Prey Show and more at the Dickens Village, and finally, the South Pole Village, featuring food, live music, and photos with the Grinch! Old West Christmas Light Fest
Get ready for a festive extravaganza like no other! Boerne’s Old West Christmas Light Fest transforms the Enchanted Springs Ranch into a mesmerizing wonderland, adorned with over 2 million sparkly lights.
Imagine an authentic Old West town, bathed in the glow of a spectacular light show, offering tasty holiday treats, live music, and fun holiday festivities that everyone will love. A Very Tiki Holiday

Seasonal Concert in Cave Without a Name
This will be a holiday performance like you’ve never experienced before!
Come watch the a’Capella quartet, Tinsel, perform inside the architectural marvel that is Cave Without a Name. The acoustics are phenomenal and the illuminated cave formations are absolutely stunning. Keep in mind, you will have to descend some stairs for the performance. Nov. 25, 2023, from 7 pm to 9 pm. There will also be a performance by Texas Cellos and a traditional Nordic choir in celebration of the Scandinavian tradition of St. Lucia Day. Dec. 9, 2023, from 7 pm to 9 pm. Get your tickets here.
Enjoy a variety of types of music and instruments, performed by Rudi and the Rudiments, in celebration of the Winter Solstice. Part of the concert will occur by candlelight, making it a must this holiday season!
Weihnachts Weekend
During the first weekend of December, you can expect a stocking stroll (purchase tickets here) and the much anticipated Weihnachts Parade, featuring enthusiastic marching bands, Christmas music, 100 gorgeous floats, and the joyous presence of Santa Claus, surrounded by the seasonal decor along Boerne’s historic main street.
Spectators are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets along the parade route, which extends from the local fire station to River Road.
Businesses will extend their opening hours during this time to accommodate your holiday and leisure needs. Take advantage of it! Dec. 1 & 2, 2023.
Boerne Bright (Free)
The First Baptist Church Boerne will host a walk-thru Christmas light experience with over 20,000 bulbs synced to your favorite holiday songs, hot cocoa, seasonal photo ops like a walk-in snow globe and a gingerbread village, and kid-friendly activities. Dec 1-2, 8-10, 15-17, 22-23, 2023, from 6 pm to 9 pm; Dec. 3 from 7:30 pm to 9 pm.
Oma’s Christmas Craft Fair
Every age group will feel the Christmas spirit at Oma’s Christmas Craft Fair! Over the course of two days, the Kendall County Fair Grounds will host over 100+ artisans from all over Texas; lunch (for a $5 fee), children’s activities, and free photos with Santa in Santa Land, plus door prizes and raffles.
Concessions will be available for purchase. When you donate 2 canned food items or 1 unwrapped toy to the 8th Annual Food & Toy Drive benefiting Hill Country Family Services, you’ll receive $1 off admission.
Not only will there be three buildings full of unique, handmade gifts, you’ll be able to watch the very same artisans demonstrate their craft. Dec. 2 & 3, 2023. A Walk in Bethlehem (Free)
St. Helena’s Episcopal Church & School will host their very own Little Town of Bethlehem walk-through experience for those looking to learn about and/or celebrate the story of Christ’s birth. Dec. 5 & 6, 2023, with showings at 6 pm & 7:30 pm nightly.
A Toast to Olde Town (Free)
Toast of Olde Town simultaneously celebrates the charm of historic downtown Boerne AND the holiday season. Local businesses and restaurants will have delicious food, refreshing drinks, live music, Wassail tastings with different holiday drinks made of hot mulled cider, ale, or wine and spices, and a spirited Caroling Contest.
There will also be a pop-market and movie night with visits from Santa and a kid’s crafting table; free photos with Santa at The Christmas Shoppe, and finally, Christmas Market Days with 130+ vendors and more holiday family fun! Boerne Chanukah Celebration (Free)
During this free event, the city of Boerne will light the annual Menorah in the Main Plaza in celebration of Hanukkah. There will also be live music by Pertnears. Dec. 11, 2023, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.
Parade of Lights (Free)
There isn’t any holiday activity that can replace driving around or walking through your neighborhood and looking at Christmas lights.
The Boerne Parade of Lights consists of the most elaborately decorated homes in town, all conveniently labeled on its very own map so you can admire them at your own pace.

Kinder Fest
Kinder Fest is a family-friendly Christmas festival Dec. 15-17 along the Hill Country Mile, perfect for either holiday date nights or last-minute errands.
The Kinder Fest’s Cookie Crawl is a highlight and a favorite among the kiddos (potentially an easy way to collect a dozen cookies for your upcoming holiday party). Your $25 ticket includes 12 cookies, one from each participating business, and a cute bag for easy transport! Purchase your tickets here! Dec. 15 & 16
There will also be a FREE Santa Scavenger Hunt. You can pick Santa Scavenger Hunt Passport at Before Your Eyes Interiors or The Dienger Trading Co. and, after checking off all your Santa sightings on your scavenger hunt passport, turn it in at J. Forks Designs for a chance to win a child’s gift basket! Dec. 15 & 16
Or, pose for FREE photos with Santa at The Christmas Shoppe (Dec. 15 & 17) or pick up a few last-minute trinkets at the Cowboy Christmas Market Days. Dec. 16 & 17, 2023.
Holiday on the Farm
Take the cutest photos with Santa and his friends, the donkeys at Hutch Farms. Other activities will include crafts, feeding and petting donkeys and goats, visiting Franklin the Tortoise, playing on the Nature Playground, roasting marshmallows, and you can even take the donkeys for a walk!
