5 Kid-Friendly Activities at Choctaw Casino Durant

Many people think of the Choctaw Casino in Durant as for adults only, but last time I was there, I had a lot of people ask me if the Choctaw Casino was kid-friendly. So this past weekend, my husband and I played cool big brother and sister-in-law for the weekend and took his siblings up to Choctaw. It turns out there are plenty of things for kids to do at Choctaw Casinos because the kids never got bored!

Things for Kids to Do at Choctaw Durant

The Pool

The pool area at Choctaw Durant is, hands down, a must-visit for families. The family-friendly pool includes a zero-depth entry, two thrilling water slides, interactive water toys, and splash features that will keep the kids occupied for hours. For parents, there are in-water benches where you can sit, relax, and keep an eye on the little ones.

If you’re looking for some grown-up time, there’s also a tropical-themed adult-only pool nearby. It features a swim-up bar, bubbling hot tubs, padded lounge chairs, and private cabanas. Whether you’re splashing with the kids or sipping a tropical drink in the adults-only area, the pool is a highlight of the resort.

The District

Choctaw Casino’s entertainment hub, The District, is a one-stop spot for family fun. Here’s what you can expect to find

The Arcade

The full-sized arcade offers a range of games, costing from $0.50 to $8 per play. The best part? You can load up a game card with bonus cash added at specific amounts, like $5 free for a $20 card. Kids can rack up tickets and redeem them for exciting prizes in the redemption store.

Bowling Alley

With 20 lanes that can accommodate everyone, the bowling alley is both fun and affordable. On weekdays, it’s just $4.75 per game per person or $20 per hour for up to 8 people. On weekends, lanes go for $30 per hour. Specials, like buy one game and get one free on Thursdays, make this an even better deal.

Dining with Kids at Choctaw Casinos

Keeping the kids well-fed is easy at Choctaw Durant. The Cantina serves up tasty Mexican fare, like quesadillas, that kids (and adults) love. Over in The District, you’ll find fast-casual favorites like burgers, pizza, and other kid-approved options.

For poolside cravings, you can head to Luna or SNAQ Bar to grab a snack and enjoy the convenient proximity to the fun. With choices everywhere, pleasing even the pickiest eater is a breeze.

The Sky Tower

If you’re staying overnight, consider booking a room in the Sky Tower. This newer addition to the complex is completely non-smoking, a big plus for families with little ones! It also offers direct access to the pool, making it extra convenient when you’re ready for some aquatic adventures.

When the Kids Aren’t Around

While there are plenty of activities for the kids, I definitely made sure to enjoy some activities of my own (one of my favorites being the spa – I tell people every time, DO NOT skip out on a massage). You will not get an average massage here, and you will probably talk about it for months, like I do.
