Villa Cin Cin Review: Best VRBO in U.S. Virgin Islands

U.S. Virgin Islands is one of those incredible places that you don’t need a passport to visit as a U.S. citizen.  It’s not hard to find paradise with the crystal clear blue waters! While there are so many places to stay, I recently joined a group of 12 people at Villa Cin Cin, the 2024 VRBO of the year of the entire WORLD! – which to me just seems wild. So I made this review on why Villa Cin Cin in St. John makes such an incredible stay for groups or large families looking for a truly unique U.S. Virgin Island experience.

Luxurious Villa Cin Cin with a round infinity pool

P.S. While passports aren’t required for the U.S. Virgin Islands, don’t forget to bring proof of citizenship for U.S. Immigration requirements upon departure. And if you’re planning to explore the neighboring Virgin Islands, a passport is a must-have for seamless travel. So pack your bags, grab your passport, and get ready for an unforgettable Caribbean getaway at Villa Cin Cin!

Where Is Villa Cin Cin located?

Villa Cin Cin in St John, U.S. Virgin Islands, is an ultra-luxurious retreat spanning 10,000 square feet. Boasting five identical King Main Suites and seven bathrooms, this family villa offers the epitome of comfort and style. Complete with full central AC, guests can relax in absolute luxury while enjoying the stunning beauty of St John.

A winding road leading up to a grand Mediterranean-style villa

Renowned as the most beautiful island in the Caribbean, St John captivates visitors with its breathtaking landscapes, sunset views, pristine beaches and expansive views of the Caribbean ocean.

Getting here is a breeze with convenient ferry access. Catch the hourly passenger ferry from Red Hook on St Thomas, just a short taxi ride from the airport, or opt for the ferry from Charlotte Amalie. Car ferries are available every two hours, allowing you to bring your vehicle along for the ride. Upon arrival in St John, the ferry dock in the center of Cruz Bay welcomes you to start your island adventure.

What Makes Villa Cin Cin So Special?

While there are many villas in the U.S. Virgin Islands with incredible views, Villa Cin Cin sits on the corner of land on Cruz Bay with almost a 360-degree view of the ocean, minus a small strip of road that takes you to the villa.

You essentially get a view of two different beaches and the ultimate sunrise and sunset view on each side.

The house is a gorgeous Spanish style villa with an infinity style pool and hot tub, rooftop balcony, and beach access.

What’s even so great about the beach access is that because it’s tucked along the cove, you get really calm waters versus being directly in the waves.  You’ll see some of the most translucent waters in all of the USVI. It’s a semi-popular snorkeling spot.

Some boats will come because of how beautiful the water and snorkeling is, but because it’s more off the beaten path, we never saw more than two boats at a time keeping it serene and not crowded with large snorkeling crowds. you’ll still get the experience of almost always having the beach and water to yourself and not disturbed with large groups of snorkelers scaring away the wildlife.

Inside the Villas

Villa Cin Cin itself comes with 5 private villas with their own plush king bed, indoor/outdoor shower combo, large walk in closet, and balcony, all with scenic views of the water.

It’s great because you can be around family and friends, but still enjoy the relaxation and privacy of your own mini-villa. Each room comes with a bed plus a couch that acts as a pull out bed to sleep up to 20 people total.

There’s a large kitchen that somehow seemed to fit our huge group which was great because one day celebrity chef Kia Damon had us all work together to prepare a lunch while we learned from her expertise.

An elegant kitchen with beige cabinets

They have two fridges and all of the items you or your chef would need for a great vacation from margarita machines, espresso makers, blenders, froth machines, and more. There is no missing out on any of the culinary delights here.

We also had the spacious living room for chilling out and enjoying tv if needed. Another thing to note was that our WiFi was incredible which is so appreciated when we were on the island.

Of course our favorite part was just relaxing outdoors with the large outdoor patio.

Things To Do Around Villa Cin Cin

While we loved the beauty of enjoying our pool and private beach access, sometimes it’s fun to go out a bit and here’s what we got to experience.

Rent a Boat

One of the best things we got to do was rent out a boat that took us to some of the top spots. Villa Cin Cin offers a fleet of top-notch boats equipped with everything you need for an unforgettable voyage. I wish I had more time because we sailed by so many incredible spots, but we made the most of our time by doing the below.

A beautiful tropical landscape with a palm tree in the foreground

Swim at Maho Bay

With its powdery white sand, swaying palm trees, and fantastic turquoise colors of the ocean, Maho Bay offers a slice of Caribbean paradise that will leave you feeling refreshed and inspired. Dive into the gentle waves, snorkel among colorful coral reefs, or simply unwind on the soft sandy beach.

And here’s a little secret – if you’re hoping for an incredible encounter with sea turtles, Maho Bay is the place to be! I must have seen at least six sea turtles in a short time, and it was crazy, because from our boat, we saw so many all at the same time popping up.

A scenic view of a tropical coastline with lush green hills

Visit a Swim Up Taco Shack

Lime Out is a cute green shack out in the water that different boats will pull up to get tacos. You can either swim up to the floating tables that are right by, or for a small fee, they’ll deliver to your boat.

The tacos were pretty bland and expensive, as most things are on the Virgin Islands, but I definitely loved grabbing drinks and would definitely come back for their cocktails.

Overall it was such a cool experience to stay at Villa Cin Cin!

Our friend and incredible content creator Jeff Jenkins, National Geographic Star of Never Say Never and Instagram influencer of @ChubbyDiaries, really created something special by finding a way for a bunch of us to come together to connect over business planning and also have one of the most memorable trips, all thanks to the beauty of Villa Cin Cin and fun activities.
