As someone who’s traveled all over Texas uncovering hidden gems, I’ve learned that small towns often hold the biggest surprises. Tomball was no exception. I came here to discover the heart of the city, and along the way, I realized just how many things there are to do in Tomball TX for adults.
From sipping cocktails at a craft brewery with a goat named June Carter Cash to designing a molten glass pumpkin with a blowtorch, Tomball surprised me in the best way. This guide highlights some of the most memorable adult-friendly experiences. If you’re here for a girls’ weekend, a laid-back night out, or just want to explore Tomball through a more grown-up lens, this guide is for you.
Best Nightlife & Entertainment
Old Tomball Honky Tonk
Welcome to the smallest honky tonk in Texas, where you’ll find everything from laid-back Saturday shows to high-energy tribute bands, all in a space that barely fits more than a handful of people.

It all started when a local musician wanted a place to perform original work, so he built one himself. Complete with a gold-plated toilet and decor covered in quirky memorabilia, this venue now draws locals for its grassroots atmosphere and what many call the authentic “Tomball sound.” Expect standing-room intimacy, community vibes, and a one-of-a-kind music night unlike anything you’ve seen before.
Main Street Crossing
For those who love acoustic sets and storytelling-style country, this historic music venue offers an intimate concert experience. Grab dinner, a drink, and enjoy live performances from Americana and folk artists. Every seat feels like front row, and the acoustics are incredible.
Keep It Simple & Pink
This pink-forward café with a Mexican twist transforms into a vibrant social hub with wine shots, cocktails, bingo nights, and even mini pancake challenges. Between the Barbie-themed drinks and events like Friday movie nights or Thursday bingo, this place offers something different for a playful adults’ night out. It’s a playful, upbeat spot that surprises you with just how much fun adults can have here in a small Texas town.

Try: There best seller is their concha topped iced latte!
Craft Beverages with Local Flavor
Fire Ant Brewing Company
This local favorite has 15 beers on tap, fusion food like chili crisp noodles, and a laid-back vibe that brings people together. Fusion here blends Asian-inspired ingredients with Southern comfort classics in ways that feel fresh but familiar. We ended up running across a goat named June Carter Cash on the patio and learned that she and her owner are regular locals who hang out here, adding a bit of unexpected charm to the already friendly atmosphere.

Try: Kung Pao Brussels sprouts, Schnitzel Sandwich, and 15 beers on tap.
Paradigm Brewing
With its tall trees and spacious outdoor area, Paradigm feels more like a hidden beer garden than a typical taproom. Come for the beers, stay for the conversation, and maybe kick around a soccer ball on their little turf field. Since Ismail and I met playing soccer, we couldn’t resist taking a few shots on goal. Not even wearing a dress was going to stop me from joining in.
If you’re visiting with friends or looking for a casual double date setting, this is your spot.

Thirsty Bee Meadery
For something a little different, try honey wine tasting. Thirsty Bee Meadery makes fruit-infused and traditional meads and often pops up at the Tomball Farmers Market. Their flights are great for discovering which version of this ancient drink fits your vibe. Whether you prefer something floral, tart, or traditionally sweet, there’s something here that might surprise you.
Deep Roots Vineyard
This winery is a great weekend stop with local wine, live music, and tribute bands that make for a relaxing but entertaining night. Some weekends (check their calendar), you might even find alpacas hanging out as a little bonus while you sip. The vibe here is welcoming and chill, perfect for adults looking for something a bit more relaxed with some personality.
Tomball’s Foodie Favorites for Grown-Ups
Tejas Chocolate + Barbecue
This Michelin-recognized spot is half award-winning barbecue, half bean-to-bar chocolate shop, and all kinds of delicious. From their chile relleno sausage to the indulgent carrot soufflé, every dish reflects craft and intention. The owner shared how what started as a hobby roasting cacao beans turned into one of the most sought-after barbecue joints in the state.

Tejas Tips:
- Get there early! The beef ribs often sell out within the first two hours
- Pair your meal with a house-made chocolate truffle and a whiskey old-fashioned
- Don’t miss the carrot soufflé
Victory Pie Co.
Owner Sheila Blue opened Victory Pie Co. in honor of her late brother who died serving in Afghanistan. They used to cook together, and their favorite dish to make was chicken pot pie. Now, she honors his memory through the meals she serves—treating every guest like family and donating a portion of proceeds to veteran organizations.

Must-try:
- Chicken pot pie (her and her brother’s favorite to make together)
- Pie flight + coffee flights with seasonal flavors
Bonfire Grill
This warm, cozy spot feels like a dinner party hosted by your favorite foodie friend. With a seasonal cocktail list, wood-fired pizza, and mom’s meatball recipe passed down through generations, it’s one of those places you’ll want to linger.

Must-try: Baked brie, Bonfire cocktail, the fungi pizza, and the meatball sandwich (made from their mom’s original recipe!).
Get Creative: Hands-On Adult Experiences
Glassblowing Houston
One of the most exciting things to do in Tomball TX for adults is this glassblowing studio, where you can try your hand at shaping molten glass into pumpkins, bowls, or cowboy hats. My husband and I each created a piece. The instructors walk you through every step taking something that feels intimidating and making it super easy.

If you’re not ready to dive in, you can also watch a free demo to see how the process works. It’s one of those unexpected adult experiences you’ll be telling people about long after.
The Craft Chicks
This paint-and-project workshop is a go-to for girls’ weekends or creative dates. You can walk in with an idea, or none at all, and walk out with something beautiful. During my visit, I made a custom ice cream sign for Casa Kumwesu! The cool things is that they have an on-site wood cutter so that they can essentially cut any project on the spot you can think of vs being limited to what they have in stock.

Things to check out:
- Special event classes like resin pouring, watercolor painting, and cookie decorating (check their calendar for upcoming dates)
- Their boutique stocked with handmade gifts and craft kits from local “crafty chicks.”
Axis Aerial Arts
Want to really shake things up? Take an aerial silks class. Whether you’re going solo or as a couple, Axis offers beginner-friendly sessions in silks, lyra, and even pole fitness. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried anything like this. They’re used to beginners and can help you out!

Perfect for: Girls’ weekends, fitness lovers, and anyone who wants a unique confidence boost. It’s a great way to step out of your comfort zone and discover creative ways to explore Tomball as an adult.
