Harvest Season Farm (Previously known as Matt Family Orchard)

For fresh air and old-fashioned fun, head to Harvest Season Farm, previously known as Matt Family Orchard. Depending on the season, you may find fruit picking, farm events, crawfish season, hayrides, or other family-friendly activities. The orchard also hosts seasonal events and hayrides, making it a great way to let the kids explore while learning about where their food comes from.

Burroughs Park

This massive park surprised us with how much it offers: multiple playgrounds, a pond for fishing, ducks, swings, a boardwalk trail, volleyball courts, and grills for cookouts. It’s perfect for letting the kids run free while you relax under the tall trees. We personally loved seeing nutria swimming around the pond and just getting out for some fresh air!

Tip: If you like fishing, this park is known for how regularly they stock the pond.

Axis Aerial Arts

They offer aerial silks and hoop classes with different age groups including kids classes. It’s a fun way to build confidence while flipping and flying through the air which was definitely a memory-maker. Yes, we took a private lesson at Axis Aerial, and if you want to do it all as a family, consider booking a private class.

The Craft Chicks

Let your mini Picassos go wild at The Craft Chicks, a paint-and-project boutique where kids (and adults) can make wooden crafts, shields, watercolor art, and even resin jewelry. They have ready-made kid kits and different seasonal kits. One thing we loved was that they had a machine to cut just about anything you could imagine into the wood. They cut me this cool ice cream wood cutout for me to paint! Plus, it’s a boutique full of sparkle, bows, and local handmade goodies.

Tomball Farmers Market (Saturdays Only)

This isn’t your average farmers market. We were blown away by just how big it was. The Tomball Farmers Market could stand up to many big city farmers markets. Kids can enjoy a fresh popsicle, find fun homemade toys, or grab a doggie treat for their pup at Layla’s Barkery.

The market vendors regularly rotate so you’re likely to always find something new!
