With a round door, a miniature Gandalf the Gray sculpture, and stained-glass windows, the interior exudes charm and coziness. The queen bed promises a restful sleep, while the patio overlooking the lily pond is the perfect spot to savor a stunning sunset while grilling a delicious meal.
Pet Policy: Hobbit’s Nest Treehouse is number one on my list of pet-friendly glamping getaways in Texas. This is because you can bring your furry friends along on your adventure without additional charges. Also, their surrounding woodland area is perfect for on-leash explorations.

The Retreat On The Hill
Escape to The Retreat on the Hill, just an hour from San Antonio, and experience breathtaking 360-degree views of Texas Hill Country. With stunning views of Lakes LBJ and Marble Falls and the natural beauty of its hilltop surroundings, it’s the perfect spot for your next overnight getaway. It also serves as a beautiful wedding venue or for hosting special events.
Several suites, including Stardome, Sunset, Wings, and Curves, offer safari tents, luxury tents, and luxurious teepees for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Except for Mirror House and Cliff House, all units are pet-friendly, so you don’t need to leave your furry friend at home. All suites have a queen or king-size bed, air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi, and charging outlets.
Pet Policy: Most of the units at The Retreat on the Hill are pet-friendly, but the Mirror House and Cliff House are exceptions. There is a one-time $75 fee per pet. During their stay, owners must not leave their pets alone in any accommodation and should always keep them on a leash when outside. As responsible pet owners, it’s important to clean up after your pets and be mindful of any damages or excessive mess.
Lucky Arrow Retreat
Lucky Arrow Retreat, situated in Dripping Springs, offers a variety of accommodations, including yurts, porch houses, breezeway cabins, and safari tents, all designed for a luxurious yet rustic stay. Pet Policy: Pets are welcome at Lucky Arrow Retreat but must always be on a leash and you have to pick up after your pet. Please remember that you must pay a non-refundable reservation fee of $150 per pet before arriving.
Ranch 3232
With a wide range of accommodation options, including luxury cabins, RV sites, air-conditioned glamping tents, and a gypsy wagon, Ranch 3232 is one of the most unique Texas Hill Country lodging escapes. Conveniently located 1.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, tucked between Dripping Springs and Johnson City, it’s a perfect spot for a glamping getaway for the whole family.
Your kids will surely have a good time biking, fishing, hiking, and bird watching while you can indulge in wine tastings at the nearby distilleries and breweries. Some of the best amenities to make your stay comfortable here include a fire pit, a community kitchen, picnic tables, a bathhouse, and laundry facilities.
Pet Policy: Ranch 3232 allows 2 pets per unit in cabin rentals, RV Sites, and Camp Sites but prohibits glamping tents. You can book a spot for your furry friend in pet-friendly cabins for just $25 or $10 if you stay in a Gypsy Wagon, RV, or tent site. As for the rules, your pet must be leashed at all times throughout your stay, cannot be left unattended on the property, and must be cleaned by you.
Mystic Quarry
Mystic Quarry, near the Guadalupe River, is a pet-friendly campground with many glamping options, from tiny homes to tipis. Glamping Safari Lodges at Mystic Quarry allow you and your furry glamper to enjoy the great outdoors of the Hill Country without missing the comforts of home.
Each of the 16’X20′ lodges at Mystic Quarry accommodates two guests in their queen-sized plush bed. These lodges feature a cozy covered porch, comfortable furniture, and a spacious living room area. Additionally, each lodge has a full bathroom, refreshing air conditioning, and a mini fridge. A weekend’s fun outdoor activities make this place a haven for family reunions. You can enjoy rounds of beach volleyball, have a refreshing dip in the communal pool, or take a leisurely stroll on the walking trails.
Pet Policy: Mystic Quarry is a pet-friendly glamping retreat that allows 2 dogs per site. The property features 9 dedicated dog-friendly cabin rentals, dog parks, and a dog pond. Dog owners pay a $100 refundable deposit per dog and a $50 non-refundable cleaning fee. It’s imperative to note that dogs must always be leashed and not left unattended at any time. Aggressive dogs are strictly prohibited on the premises. Please be aware that bringing your furry friend to non-dog-friendly indoor areas will result in a $200 fine, along with cleaning fees for any messes.
Dos Rios
Dos Rios is situated at the Llano and James Rivers intersection. This hidden gem of pet-friendly Texas glamping offers breathtaking views. Pet Policy: Dos Rios is super pet-friendly and allows pets for a nominal fee. At some sites, your furry companion can be off-leash as long as it is well-behaved. However, your pet must not bother other guests; otherwise, you will be asked to leash it immediately.
River Road Treehouses
River Road Treehouses in New Braunfels offers uniquely designed and custom-built treehouse accommodations. The property also features towering Riverfront Sky Cabins for a whimsical stay among the trees. Treehouse cabins have multiple beds and loft spaces to accommodate up to 8 family members. Not to mention, your furry traveler will have their own space as well. Each treehouse is equipped with a full kitchen, bath amenities, and a spacious private porch complete with a dining table and sitting area.
Pet Policy: At River Road Treehouses, a maximum of 2 pets are allowed. However, there is a non-refundable fee of $98 per night per pet. Owners must keep their dogs on a 6′ leash at all times and never leave them unattended. And the best part? Your pups are welcome to splash in the river.
