What to Expect at the Old Central Firehouse Bed & Brew
At Old Central Firehouse Bed & Brew in San Angelo, you’ll enjoy easy online booking, with immediate confirmation and information about the door codes sent via text. That means you won’t have to worry about keeping track of a room key!
Upon arrival, check-in is quick, and you will receive a friendly greeting from the lovely, caring hosts, Jody and Michele.
This cozy accommodation features local brews during Happy Hour at the hotel’s on-site pizzeria every evening. The restaurant is not just convenient, but incredibly tasty!
You’ll find old photos all around the hotel, depicting what it looked like when it was still a firehouse between 1929 and 1976.
The hotel is within walking distance of the city’s vibrant downtown scene, where you’ll find restaurants, shops, and awe-inspiring historical sites.
Next door is a scenic park and the enchanting Concho River, so if you feel like taking a stroll and soaking up the glory of nature, it is the perfect place to go! The river walk also features a collection of public art, including sculptures, mosaics and murals.
If you were hoping to bring your pets along, keep in mind that the Old Central Firehouse Bed & Brew is not pet-friendly.
The Rooms
The rooms at Old Central Firehouse Bed & Brew are spacious, cute and cozy, complete with comfortable beds and blackout curtains.
Every room is decorated with firefighting memorabilia, and the five rooms all offer different takes on what you would historically find in a firehouse.
Above the pizzeria, there is an upstairs area, featuring a lovely breakfast nook, fireplace seating and a kitchen — but no elevator.
Every detail, from the high end decor to the laundering of towels and bathrobes, creates an atmosphere that feels warm, homey and relaxing. Unlike some hotels, the layout of the rooms allows for plenty of privacy.
The Chief’s Retreat
The Chief’s Retreat offers an ideal setting for a romantic getaway, featuring an elegant ambiance, a spacious king-size bed, and bright, tasteful interior.
You’ll adore the soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower in the en suite bathroom, complete with plush robes for your comfort.
Additional amenities include a Keurig coffee machine, television, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi.
The Firehouse Suite
The Firehouse Suite is a wonderful accommodation option if you’re looking for a cozy and comfortable stay. It has two separate bedrooms, perfect for up to four people, with king-size beds and private baths.
The inclusion of a full-size kitchen and living area adds to the suite’s appeal, as it allows you to prepare your own meals, as well as have some additional space. However, we recommend you explore the foodie scene in San Angelo during your stay.

The Locker Room
The Locker Room is an excellent choice for longer stays and can easily accommodate two people.
It features a king-size bed and a kitchenette equipped with a mini-fridge, sink, and microwave. There is also a Keurig coffee machine for those early mornings. Enjoy the use of a TV, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi as well.
The room’s distinctive and playful character is accentuated by the vibrant red color scheme, including the clever use of red lockers as a closet.
The private bathroom includes a spacious, beautifully tiled walk-in shower.
The Hook & Ladder
The Hook & Ladder is a cozy and charming room with several amazing features. There is a comfortable, spacious sitting area with a TV and a private bath with a luxurious jet tub.
The rustic feel of the room, with its wood and tin decor, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere and is especially great if you appreciate a more traditional and rustic aesthetic.
The coffee bar area is equipped with a Keurig, making it easy for you to enjoy your morning coffee without leaving your room.
The antique hook and ladder, the room’s namesake, adds some historic character to the room, making for a memorable stay in West Texas.
The Lookout
The Lookout is the perfect choice if you prefer hotel rooms with window-framed scenery. Overlooking a park, the grand, king-size bed and chaise lounge provide a luxurious and comfortable space to relax and unwind.
