The Check-in Experience

As you approach the Texican Court, you’re greeted by a striking neon sign of a cowboy wielding a lasso aboard his trusty steed, setting the tone for the uniquely Texas adventure that awaits you.

The hotel’s entrance features an intricately tiled pool, equipped with bright pink, heart-shaped innertubes, sunning chairs on wheels for easy maneuverability, chaise loungers in the water, plus poolside games and a poolside bar.

Prior to entering the hotel lobby, there’s an intimate, outdoor courtyard with a central water feature and a skylight overhead. At night, the area is illuminated with sparse, but warm lighting.

The lobby area is equally as eye-catching! There’s a glass table with neon lights shining up through the surface, complimentary orange bikes for guests, a shelf adorned with Texas books and products, and enticing decor like a modern art piece made out of terracotta pots and leather poufs surrounding a petrified, wooden coffee table.

Before Reaching Your Room

On your way to your room, at the center of the hotel, you’ll enter an outdoor courtyard that serves as the central hub of the resort. The courtyard boasts inviting campfire set-ups where guests can gather, relax, and enjoy the evening. They even have s’mores supplies you can purchase!

The creators of the Texican Court truly thought of everything. Each floor is equipped with an ice chest with individually packed ice bags, allowing easy access to ice without the need for ice machines or special requests. This thoughtful touch adds to the overall hassle-free experience of a stay at the Texican Court Hotel in Irving Texas.

Every room has a pink door and outdoor chairs that beckon guests to enjoy their morning coffee outside while looking out over the courtyard below.

The Texican Court offers a variety of rooms, including the delightful Junior King Suites. which we had the pleasure of staying in. Of course, we had all the luxuries, like a full-size fridge and Smart TV to watch all our favorite streaming services.

The Tex-Mex influences are evident throughout the rooms, with retro, orange fridges, Otomi fabric lamps, and unique details like honeycomb tiles that spell out “TX” on the floor.

The highlight of the room was the spacious bathroom, complete with a large soaking tub. The rooms at the Texican Court Hotel really master pairing rustic decor with color all at the same time!

Dining at the Texican Court Hotel

The breakfast buffet at the Two Mules Cantina includes a convenient array of Tex-Mex delights, including tortillas, tacos, eggs, bacon, and a variety of breakfast breads.

In the mornings, guests can also enjoy a complimentary mini coffee bar with various flavors and add-ons to help kickstart your day.

Salt Tequila Bar, nestled inside the Texican Court, is also a simultaneously vibrant and rustic space that adds an extra layer of excitement to your experience. With an extensive selection of tequila and mezcal, knowledgeable bartenders, and creative, handcrafted cocktails, it’s the perfect place to explore the flavors and traditions of these iconic spirits.

Their Special Events & Offerings

The Texican Court Hotel offers a range of special events and amenities that elevate the guest experience.

The resort is pet-friendly and the Two Mule Cantina hosts live music on Fridays and Saturdays, treating guests to a vibrant, local music scene.

Their gym is open 24/7 to guests with access to complimentary bicycles, and proximity to Lake Carolyn with its effortlessly blended greenery, trails, and cityscapes. 

The resort also offers lush lawns and fire pits, perfect for relaxing and socializing after a fulfilling meal before retreating up to your room for the night.

Our stay at the Texican Court in Irving, Texas was an absolute delight! We spent most of our days indulging in the Tex-Mex charm while lounging by the pool and in the outdoor courtyard.
