As soon as we checked into the Hotel Van Zandt, we were met with pampering. We were handed a complimentary glass of wine (with an option of beer) as they checked us in. We were also informed that they had a daily social hour that included live music and complimentary wine.

It was such a great way to get everyone out of their room and enjoying the beautiful lobby.

The amenities didn’t stop there. With the hotel being located downtown, most things were located a walk away. However, if you wanted to get somewhere a little faster or just enjoy the beauty of Austin, Hotel Van Zandt has bikes available to rent. Would you rather stay inside and cozy up with a good book? They have a list of books chosen by the team to check out and enjoy.

Geraldine’s is a destination of it’s own and a place we’ve gone before because the food is so wonderful. Geraldine’s serves up shareable plates so you can share different small dishes with your table. That’s always my favorite because the more dishes I can try, the better.

With every dish, Hotel Van Zandt adds a special twist for a one-of-a-kind twist. Their smoked carrots come in a mole sauce, the buttermilk biscuits come with a divine honey butter sauce, and their Texas quail is served with a coconut curry sauce. Many nights they have live music, and you can’t miss a jazz brunch.

Geraldine’s also offers a delightful breakfast menu, making it a great start to the day for guests.
