Texas has three men’s Major League Soccer clubs: FC Dallas / Austin FC / Houston Dynamo.

The women’s professional side matters too: Houston Dash and Dallas Trinity FC are covered in the women’s section below, along with the Concacaf W Championship games coming to Texas.

Each MLS club continues its season after the World Cup and plays through MLS Decision Day on November 7.

Why Follow FC Dallas After the World Cup?

FC Dallas gives North Texas fans a direct opportunity to continue watching players who participated in the World Cup.

FC Dallas players selected for the tournament included:

  • Petar Musa, Croatia
  • Louicius Don Deedson, Haiti
  • Herman Johansson, Sweden

Musa also became the first active FC Dallas player to score at a Men’s World Cup.

Player availability can change because of transfers, injuries, rest and lineup decisions, so a player’s presence on the roster does not guarantee that he will appear in every match.

The Texas rivalry matches are August 16 in Austin, September 19 in North Texas and October 17 in Houston.

FC Dallas supporter groups

El Matador, Dallas Beer Guardians and La Murga 117 all have current 2026 match-day activity, and each offers a different way to join the atmosphere:

El Matador: one of the oldest active FC Dallas groups, with drums and chants in both Spanish and English. Its all-ages tailgate and no-fee approach make it a welcoming choice for new fans.

Dallas Beer Guardians: a large, beer-garden-centered group known for 90-minute singing, tifo displays, a strong pregame tailgate and a march into the stadium. This is the most beer-forward, pub-style option of the three.

La Murga 117: a music-first, family-oriented group shaped by the Latin American murga tradition of singing, instruments and dancing.

All three bring flags, music and continuous support, but the descriptions above should help you choose the crowd that feels most like you. Confirm the current tailgate and march location before attending, especially while FC Dallas is playing away from its normal home during stadium redevelopment.

Why Follow Austin FC After the World Cup?

Austin FC winger Jayden Nelson represented Canada at the 2026 World Cup and became the first active Austin FC player to represent the club at a World Cup.

Among Texas MLS clubs, Austin FC has the largest number of confirmed international club matches in the weeks after the tournament, with three Liga MX teams visiting Q2 Stadium.

Austin FC closes its regular season at home on November 7. Any playoff matches will depend on the final MLS standings.

Austin FC supporter groups

Austin Anthem, Los Verdes and La Murga de Austin all have current 2026 match or supporter activity:

Austin Anthem: the original supporter group behind the movement for Austin FC, with a broad focus on building the club’s fan community.

Los Verdes: a member-driven nonprofit focused on an energetic, inclusive and respectful atmosphere, both on match day and through community work.

La Murga de Austin: the music and chant engine of the supporter section. This is the group most closely associated with the drums, songs and constant rhythm people notice inside Q2 Stadium.

Austin FC also maintains an official Pub Club. Those locations give new fans a place to watch Verde away matches without joining the standing supporter section.

Why Follow Houston Dynamo After the World Cup?

Houston Dynamo did not have an active first-team player listed among MLS’s 2026 World Cup call-ups, but its matches against FC Dallas and Austin FC introduce new fans to Texas soccer rivalries.

Houston won the 2025 Copa Tejas, the competition decided by matches among Texas’s three MLS clubs. After the World Cup, the Dynamo host Austin FC on July 25 and FC Dallas on October 17, so both games carry more local meaning than a normal league match.

The supporter section at Shell Energy Stadium is known as Hustle Town, which also gives first-time fans a clear place to find the club’s most dedicated match atmosphere.

Houston Dynamo supporter groups

Houston’s standing supporter section is known as Hustle Town. It is the loud, chant-heavy end of the stadium for fans who want to stand and participate for the full match rather than sit back and watch quietly.

I could verify current 2026 activity for three groups associated with Hustle Town:

El Batallón: one of the original Dynamo supporter groups, strongly associated with instruments, coordinated chants and Houston’s Latin American soccer culture.

Texian Army: another founding Houston group and a long-running part of the Dynamo supporter section.

The Surge: an official Dynamo supporter group centered on standing, singing and backing the club throughout the match.

Women’s Soccer Games in Texas

Texas will host professional women’s league matches throughout the fall and one of the most important women’s international tournaments before the 2027 Women’s World Cup.

Fans can follow the United States, Mexico, Canada and other Concacaf national teams, along with Houston Dash and Dallas Trinity FC.

Concacaf W Championship and Women’s World Cup Qualifying

The 2026 Concacaf W Championship will be held entirely in Texas from November 27 through December 5.

Matches will be played at:

  • Texas Health Mansfield Stadium in Mansfield
  • Shell Energy Stadium in Houston

The participating national teams are:

  • United States
  • Canada
  • Mexico
  • Jamaica
  • Costa Rica
  • Haiti
  • El Salvador
  • Panama

The four quarterfinal winners qualify directly for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The four losing quarterfinalists enter two play-in matches, with those winners advancing to the intercontinental playoff tournament.

The competition also determines Concacaf’s qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic women’s soccer tournament.

For fans who want to start learning the women’s national teams before the next World Cup, the quarterfinals provide a chance to see the United States, Mexico and Canada during the same weekend in North Texas.

The 2027 Women’s World Cup will be held in Brazil from June 24 through July 25, 2027.

Houston Dash compete in the National Women’s Soccer League and play home matches at Shell Energy Stadium. Goalkeeper Jane Campbell has earned senior U.S. national-team appearances, and Avery Patterson has both a U.S. cap and an international goal. Patterson was also named to the 2025 NWSL Best XI First Team, giving new fans a current player to follow beyond her national-team connection.

Why Follow Dallas Trinity FC After the World Cup?

Dallas Trinity FC is Dallas’s first professional women’s soccer club and plays in the top-tier Gainbridge Super League at the Cotton Bowl. The club reached the playoffs in each of its first two seasons, and its returning 2026 roster includes U.S. women’s youth-national-team midfielder Lexi Missimo.

The club’s fall season begins August 15 and includes seven home matches and seven away matches. The top four teams advance to the playoffs.

Dallas Trinity’s fall league schedule contains 14 matches. The club also plans to hold a separate State Fair Clásico exhibition at the Cotton Bowl on October 17; it is not one of the 14 league matches.
