You’ll also find monthly and weekly events so you can celebrate Pride throughout the year, as well as support groups, Pride organizations, and Queer brands/individuals/publications linked throughout. Where to Celebrate Pride in North Texas

Arlington

Arlington will be celebrating Pride in Texas with its 2nd Annual Arlington Gay Pride event on June 10 from 5 to 11pm. The event is free and will feature three RuPaul Drag Race contestants and an international drag icon. There will also be live music, food, drinks, and games. You will need a ticket for admission.

Dallas

Every Sunday in June, Electric Shuffle will host a Drag Brunch with performances, themed cocktails, a live DJ, mixers, and other celebrations throughout the month. They will be partnering with DIFFA Dallas and the QWELL Community Foundation to support and raise money for the LGBTQIA+ community. 10% of all proceeds will go to these non-profit organizations. Book your spot on their website.

For the entire month of June, you can grab La La Land’s new Rainbow Latte at any location, as well as their new Rainbow Latte Cookie (but only at the Oak Lawn Dallas location).

Dallas Pride will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year! Come on out and celebrate with these events going on at Fair Park:

The Dallas Pride Music Festival will take place on June 3 from 11am to 9pm. You can expect live entertainment across three stages, a family-friendly festival, and local vendors. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Alan Ross Freedom Parade will take place June 4 at 2pm and is free to attend!

Disco, TX will be kicking off Pride-a-Palooza on June 3 from 8pm to 2am at Sons of Hermann Hall with striking performances by Bleach, Cure for Paranoia, and more! There will also be two floors and three rooms of entertainment, go-go dancers, and a photo booth! Tickets can be purchased online but do it soon because this event typically sells out.

Then kick back at Disco, TX’s first ever Pride-a-Palooza pool party at Lee Harvey’s Dive-in on June 4, from 2pm to 7pm. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Commons Club at Virgin Hotels Dallas will host a Pride Drag Brunch on June 4 with shows at noon and 2pm. Reservations are required with a $50 food and beverage minimum per person. You can catch a drag brunch hosted by Jenni P every first and third Sunday, so if you aren’t able to make it for Pride, you’ll have plenty of other chances to experience the magic!

Roy G’s Dallas will host brunch on June 4 with hostess Brooklyn Divine, plus DJ Crying Sparkles out on the patio from 5pm to 9pm. Reservations are not required. Must be 18+ for entry.

The Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum will be providing free admission on Wednesday, June 7!

Virgin Hotels Dallas will host a Flamingo Pride Pool Party on June 9 from 4pm to 8pm. There will be cocktails, a live DJ, and drag performers.

Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Garden’s Pride in Bloom will be June 10 – 11, 10am to 4pm. There will be live music, mural installations, the Pride Pop-up Market, a floral mall, and you can even bring a picnic!

Juneteenth Unity Weekend, hosted by Dallas Southern Pride, will last from Friday, June 16 through Sunday, June 18. The Juneteenth Unity Festival will include a pool party with live music on Saturday, June 17, from 5pm to 10pm at the Samuell-Grand Aquatic Center, plus their signature brunch on Sunday from 11am to 2pm. Throughout the weekend, there will also be club events and parties for a weekend of celebration.

Check out the 2023 Pride Block Party in the Dallas Arts District on Friday, June 16 from 6pm to 11:30pm. You can look forward to activities like board games, drag shows, and other live performances. For more information, they have a full list of their itinerary on their website.

June 17 from 4pm to 12am will be Dallas’ Annual Pride Bar Crawl including entry to 5 different local bars. The ticket will include exclusive access to drink and food specials offered at each participating venue. For more details and pricing, click here.

Catch a drag brunch at Roy G’s Dallas on June 17 from 12pm to 3pm. You can also catch drag brunches regularly if you aren’t able to make it out. Follow their social media to stay updated on future festivities.

The AT&T Discovery District will host an outdoor event at the AT&T Experience Store on June 23 beginning at 6pm. There will be live performances and more in support of the Trevor Project. It’s free to RSVP online.

Denton

Pridenton, the city’s LGBTQ+ organization, will host Night Out on the Square at the city courthouse from 6pm to 10pm on June 9, followed by:

The Big Gay Swim Day at the Civic Center Pool on June 11 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The Spiderweb Salon Open Mic at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios on June 14 from 7pm to 10pm.

Pride Flash Tattoos at Aces Tattoos on June 24 from 6pm to 7pm.

The Big Pride in Lil’d: Dance Party at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios from June 24, 7pm to 1am.

Fort Worth

Attend this Pride Brunch at La Chingona on June 3 from 2pm to 4pm. Your free RSVP will include a one cent mimosa! The brunch menu and specials will be offered until 4:30pm.

In honor of Pride month, the Movie Mutant and Fort Worth Community Cinema will be hosting a Pride Month secret screening at the Southside Preservation Hall. There will also be a night market and a retro preshow in the chapel. This event is BYOB, and parking is free. Bring cash for food and donations (entry will be “pay what you can” in the form of a donation). You can RSVP online.

LGBTQ Saves is hosting a free Youth Pride Picnic (24 years old and younger) on June 17 from 10am to 2pm. They also encourage LGBTQ youth to invite their friends and family for family-friendly activities and a free lunch in Trinity Park. Online registration is required.

Patrick Mikyles’ will host the 3rd annual “Pride Night Lights” at Urban Cowboy Saloom on June 18 from 9pm to 2am. There will be four local DJs playing lots of EDM, plus festival vendors and merch for sale. Tickets can be purchased online. Be sure to have your ID with you at the door.

Check out this free, family-friendly event celebrating Pride at Magnolia Green Park! Trinity Pride Fest will be June 24, 6pm to 10pm, with food trucks, an artisan vendor market, live music by local queer artists and bands, as well as an interactive program for youth in the cooling tent.

Frisco

Pride Frisco will host their annual Pride Festival on October 22 from 1pm to 5pm. The location will be revealed in June so follow their Facebook for updates as they become available.

McKinney

On June 10 from 11am to 6pm, celebrate Pride and the LGBTQIA+ community at McKinney Pride. This is an inclusive, free event to encourage healthy social relationships amongst the LGBTQ+ community of McKinney. The event will occur at Dr. Glenn Mitchell Memorial Park.

Plano

Celebrate Pride with the North Texas Pride Foundation at their 2023 Annual Come as You Are Festival on September 30, 11am to 5pm. This event will benefit a non-profit (TBA) and will be family-friendly, complete with vendors, food, drinks, dive-a-ways, kid activities, a DJ, dancing, and other entertainment. Richardson

The entire month of June, grab tasty rainbow goodies from La Casita Bakeshop!

The Miss Gay Texas Pageant System will be at Six Springs Tavern on June 4 at 2pm. There isn’t any cover, but donations will be accepted at the door.

Sherman

The Grayson County Pride 2023 will be moved to the fall due to the heat and concern for everyone’s health.

Weatherford

The Parker Co. LGBTQ+ Awareness Community (PLCA) will host a Pride Pool Party on June 3 from 7:30pm to 10:30pm at Cherry Park. There is an attendance limit of 150 people so be sure to RSVP online ASAP.

Where to Celebrate Pride in the Texas Panhandle

The Annual Panhandle Pride Festival is June 24 at Starlight Ranch. The gates will open at 3pm and the general admission pass is $15 for adults, $5 for ages 13 to 17 and free for kids 12 and under.

Celebrate Pride Night at the Ball Park on June 29, 6pm to 9pm, at Hodgetown Ballpark, but hurry because tickets are limited.

Where to Celebrate Pride in Central Texas

Austin

For a family-friendly pride celebration, get a ticket to Waterloo on the Creek for a week-long celebration from June 5 to June 10. Waterloo Park is an 11-acre public park and will be filled with live music, a kid’s sculpture garden, Drag Queen Storytime, a fitness class, and Pride Parade in the Park, plus several community partners and vendors.

The UMLAUF Sculpture Garden + Museum will be hosting an After Dark event on June 7 from 6pm to 8pm with live music, beer from Austin Beerworks, cocktails, and a pop-up by the Little Gay Shop (more information below on this local LGBTQ+ art store). Doors open at 5pm to members.

Austin Public Library will host a free, 1920’s themed Pride Prom (18+) on June 16 from 7pm to 10pm. There will be drag performers, the Queer Vinyl Collective, and more! RSVP online.

June 17 from 4pm to 12am will be Austin’s Annual Pride Bar Crawl with entry to 10 local bars. The ticket will include two drinks or shots at each bar and entry to the after-party. For more details and pricing, click here.

Bastrop

Drop in for Bastrop’s Annual Pride Month celebration! Friday, June 2 will be the Bastrop Pride and Vibe Tribe Presents: Out, Loud and Proud Fashion and Art Show from 7pm to 9pm. A Street Faire will follow on June 3 at Main Street from 7pm to 11pm. End the weekend with a family-friendly festival at the Fisherman’s Park on June 4 from 3pm to 8pm.

Boerne

PFLAG Boerne will be hosting a Pride Walk on Saturday, June 10 at 9am beginning at the Patrick Heath Public Library Ampitheater.

Dripping Springs

Hosting two events on June 24th, Pride of Dripping Springs will be celebrating Pride Month with a festival from 1pm to 5pm, featuring events for various ages and families, plus food, alcohol, and vendors. Pride After Dark (18+) will be from 7pm to 12am with a live DJ, dancing, a drag show, and additional food and alcohol. Tickets can be purchased online. Any additional profit from this event will allow the organization to give out scholarships to high school seniors. 

The city proclaimed June Pride month on May 18th, 2021. We are so happy to see continued support for the LGBTQ+ community across Texas.

Lockhart

Plan to celebrate the city’s Pride Month from June 11 through June 18. Events will include brunch, Q&A’s, Youth Mixers, talent showcases, drag shows, and movie nights. Click here for a full calendar. The final celebration will be the Pride Afterparty on June 13 at Luna Gardens with fireworks closing out the night by 11pm.

Marble Falls

Trinity Episcopal Church and the Highland Lakes Equality Center will be hosting a free potluck on June 10 from 5pm to 7pm. They encourage you to bring a dish or dessert that is naturally the color of the rainbow. Be sure to RSVP online, including the dish you’ll be bringing and the color it is associated with.

Attend Pride on the Patio at Rae’s Rbar & Grill on June 14 from 6:30pm to 9pm. There will be a signature cocktail made especially for this event, the “Eqaul-Tea” (including a mocktail). You can RSVP online for free.

Highland Lakes Equality Center (HLEC) will be hosting its free MFTX Pride Fest 2023 on June 24, 10am to 2pm, at the Johnson Park. More details to come on their event page!

Pflugerville

Their Pride Pfestival in downtown Pflugerville will be on Saturday, June 10 from 3pm to 8pm. You can expect performances by LGBTQ+ comedians, musicians, and a legislative panel on LGBTQ+ issues.

Join the afterparty with Mock Lobster at the Three-Legged Goat from 7pm to 11:30pm. Tickets will go on sale on June 6 at 2am.

Round Rock

Round Rock Pride will host their 2nd annual Pride Festival on June 3 from 3pm to 8pm at the Centennial Plaza. Entry is free and there will be food trucks, more shade, fans, misters, and an indoor area.

Round Rock Tavern will host a Stonewall Tribute Drag Show by Round Rock Pride and the United Court of Austin on June 4 from 1pm to 3pm. Wear your pride gear and bring dollar bills to tip the performers. All tips raised will be donated by the United Court of Austin to a non-profit organization. This event is 21+.

Show your support at Round Rock City Hall for the annual Pride Proclamation on June 8 from 6pm to 7pm.

Soul Strong Yoga and Round Rock Pride have come together to host a Pride Yoga + Sound Bath event on June 11 from 2pm to 4pm at Soul Strong Yoga. All fees will be donated to Round Rock Pride. All attendees will receive a PRIDE mala bracelet by Maddie’s Malas. Spots are limited so be sure to purchase your tickets online ASAP.

San Antonio

At PRIDE Sip N’ Pour, make a scented candle inspired by RuPaul. This event will take place on June 7 from 5pm to 6pm at Mission Crafts Chandlery. There will also be adult beverages served. 20% of ticket sales will go to THRIVE Youth Center San Antonio. Purchase your tickets online before they’re sold out.

Bud Light Pride River Parade & Celebration will be held at the La Villita River Theatre on June 10 featuring live entertainment from 1pm to 5pm, followed by the River Parade with its 17 decorated floats from 4pm to 5pm downtown, and additional entertainment (including a portion of the parade route) at the River Walk Museum Reach from 7pm to 8pm.

Pride Center San Antonio will be hosting the 2023 Icons Brunch on June 11 from 11:30am to 3pm with live entertainment, special guests, and an unlimited Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar.

Night Out at the Zoo will be Friday, June 16 from 6pm to 10pm at the San Antonio Zoo. The events and activities will include a parade, a fashion show, dance party, plus animal encounters, community resources, and unique vendors.

Next is Pride Bigger Than Texas 2023 at Crockett Park on Saturday, June 24 from 11am to 7pm, with food, live entertainment, a PRIDE wedding, health fair, and more. At 9pm, San Antonio’s Largest Gay Pride Night Parade will begin on Main Street.

October 6 through October 8, Pride San Antonio will host their 9th Annual San Antonio LGBTQ+ International Film Festival at the Public Theatre of San Antonio. Keep an eye on their website for more details.

San Marcos

Celebrate SMTX Pride in San Marcos on September 9 at Hays County Historic Courthouse for the Anti-Bully March & Festival, which will include live music, proclamation, vendors, and a drag show. Follow the event page for more details as they become available.

Taylor

This tiny Texas town will be hosting its Taylor Pride Music & Art Festival on June 24 at the Heritage Square. Events will include a burlesque show, live music, street food, and a tent for the kids to have a little fun of their own.

Temple

The Temple Pride Block Party was already celebrated on May 27. Keep checking their event page for updates on upcoming Pride events.

Waco

The Waco Pride Network will be hosting the OOTB Merch Contest, which will be featured at Out on the Brazos 2023 Saturday, October 7.

Wimberley

Where to Celebrate Pride in South Texas

Corpus Christi

Pride Corpus Christi will be hosting a variety of events through July 3 in celebration of Pride Month. Click here for a full list and additional details. They will also be hosting a Block Party & Parade on October 7 at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.

Laredo

Gateway City Pride Association will host a Pride Parade & Festival in downtown Laredo on June 24 from 2pm to 10pm. There will be activities, vendors, live music, drag shows, and more. See their full line-up of Pride Month events on their Facebook page.

Rio Grande Valley

Enjoy live music, drag shows, food trucks, a beer garden, pride beach access, a youth activity area, Lotería, free HIV testing, and more at this family-friendly event hosted by Rio Grande Valley Pride. It will take place at the Cameron County Ampitheater & Event Center on June 24 and 25.

Victoria

The Victoria Pride Festival will take place June 29 through July 9. See the full list of events on their website.

The Victoria Pride Society will be hosting a free Memorial Drag Ball Game at Victoria West Park on July 1 from 12pm to 3pm. It’s essentially a picnic with live entertainment, food, drinks, and a game of baseball played by drag kind and queens. This event dates all the way back to 1993 in Victoria, which honored those in the community that had been lost to HIV/AIDS. You can RSVP on Facebook.

The Victoria Pride Parade and Festival in the Park will take place on July 9 beginning at 11am. The festival is family-friendly with 150 vendors, 20+ food options, cold drinks, a kid’s zone, and on-stage entertainment. Both events are free, but it’s encouraged that you donate what you can to keep Pride accessible. You can RSVP on Facebook.

Where to Celebrate Pride in East Texas

Bryan

Join the LGBTQIA+ community at the Brazos Valley Pride Weekend Kickoff Party at The 101, a queer-friendly bar in Bryan, with festivities beginning at 7pm on June 9.

Attend the Brazos Valley Pride Weekend Party at Lake Bryan on Saturday, June 10 from 2pm to 4pm, followed by a Halo Drag Party from 10pm until midnight.

The Pride Community Center will host the 2023 Pride Picnic on June 11 from 2pm to 6pm. Hosted at KinderHill Brew Lab in Bryan, the event will be family and pet-friendly with entertainment, food, and games. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will also be provided with a special menu provided by Chef Tanner and Wild Garlic Pizza.

Conroe

Attend the Talking With Pride Summit in The Woodlands on June 10 from 8am to 4pm.

Galveston

Galveston Island Brewing Company will be hosting a Pride Family Festival with a portion of proceeds going to Galveston Island Fundraising of Texas. There will be Bingo, live music, face painting, and more family-friendly activities with special musical guest Lady Bird. Come decked out in color for a chance at a prize! Free up your calendar for June 11, 2pm to 5pm.

Pride Galveston is hosting Mr. & Miss Pride Galveston on Friday, September 1 from 9pm until midnight! Come out and have a good time! Scored categories include presentation, talent, gown, and on-stage question and answer.

Party on the beach and celebrate Pride in Texas at the Beach Bash on Saturday, September 2 from 10am to 5pm. There will be live music, snacks, and free gifts!

The 3rd Annual Pool Party on September 3 will present the winners of Mr. and Miss Pride as well as other special guests. There will be drinks specials and male dancers as well. For more information about all three of the above events, click here.

Houston

Pride Chorus Houston, one of the first and oldest gay choruses, will perform at the Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church on June 3 from 8pm to 9:30pm. This event will feature queer artists and pride anthems, but make sure to register!

First Christian Church of Katy will be hosting a Pride Bingo Night benefitting the Transparent Closet on June 3 at 7pm. You can also expect performances by drag queens and kings, as well as food, drinks, and swag for sale. Bring cash tips for the performers.

Attend Pride Houston’s annual Pride Market, complete with a beer garden, DJs, food trucks, live entertainment, give-a-ways, games, contests, and 25+ local vendors. It’ll take place at Karbach Brewery June 4 at 11am and it’s free to attend!

Cool off at the Rainbow Paloma Pool Party on June 9 from 1pm to 4pm at the Laura Hotel in downtown Houston. Sip on specialty cocktails and enjoy music by a live Drag Queen Disco DJ. Admission is $35 for non-hotel guests. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Houston Pride Band will be closing out their concert season on June 10 at 8pm. The Summer Love Concert will be hosted at the Midtown Arts & Theater Center Houston.

The annual Rock the Runway Pride Fashion Show features LGBTQIA+ designers and models in summer fashion. The event is open to the public and free to the first 200 people who RSVP. Otherwise, you will purchase tickets here. Clear your calendar for Thursday, June 22, 7pm to 11pm and prepare to be amazed!

The Eden Girl+ Party by Pride Houston celebrates the womxn of the city’s LGTQIA+ community, but everyone is invited (18+). It’ll take place June 23 at 9pm at RISE Rooftop. Tickets can be purchased online.

The 2023 Pride Parade in Houston (Saturday, June 24 from 7pm to 11pm) will include an open bar and an afterparty. The theme of this year’s event is “All We Need Is Love” to promote equality and inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community. There will also be an afterparty beginning at 9pm at RISE Rooftop with lots of music and space to dance. Tickets can be purchased online.

The Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon & Beach Club in Humble will be hosting a free pool party with a live DJ, body contests, food, drinks, and live entertainment on June 25 from 6:30pm to 10pm. Just be sure to RSVP online!

Longview

The largest and oldest LGBTQ+ Pride Event in Northeast Texas, the Longview Pride Festival, will be Saturday, June 10 from 3pm to 8pm at the Maude Cobb Convention Center. As the center of the city’s Arts and Culture District, you’ll be happy to also see vendors, a drag show, and other forms of entertainment!

Tyler

The 3rd Annual Tyler Pride March will take place on June 4 from 10am to 4pm and will include LGBTQ+ vendors and performers, followed by a half-mile march from the Downtown Sqaure to Broadway and Front Street!

Tyler will be celebrating Pride in Texas on Saturday, June 17 from 10am until 4pm at the East Texas Fairground. For a full schedule and more details, see here.

Where to Celebrate Pride in West Texas

Abilene

Pride 2023 will be celebrated in Abilene on September 30. The event itself is still in the works but will feature pub crawls, adventures, parades and more!

El Paso

El Paso Sun City Pride has an ongoing scholarship application acceptance which will run through June 20.

Saturday, June 24 beginning at 3pm is the 18th Annual El Paso Sun City PrideFest. There will be indoor and outdoor stages with live performances from DJs, live bands, and drag queens, along with local vendors. General admission is $30 for children 12+.

Lubbock

The Lubbock PRIDE Annual Festival is back! The event will be filled with musical performances, drag shows, and other festivities at the Depot District on June 10 from 12pm until 9pm.

Ways to Celebrate Pride Virtually

Pride Trivia Night – hosted by the Pride Center in San Antonio on June 10 from 7pm to 8:30pm. Register your team online before spots fill up!

The Little Gay Book Club – hosted by the Little Gay Shop out of Austin, this all-inclusive, queer-centric book club offers a variety of monthly packages and even a needs-based package to get you started.

Texas-Based, Queer-Focused Publications

The Qmmunity is part of the Austin Chronicle, focusing on queer news and events in Austin.

OutSmart reports on local and national news and has readers across the country and even internationally! You can pick up a free copy at 375+ locations across the Houston area. From weekly/monthly events to regularly meeting support groups, you can find some below. They are listed by what region of Texas they are located in.

West Texas

Pride Center West Texas hosts a variety of groups for a variety of ages in support of LGBTQ+ youth and their families. Click here to see their calendar. Locations include Odessa and Midland.

Follow the Abilene Pride Alliance Facebook page for news of LGBTQ+ events like their support group.

Central Texas

Every first Thursday of the month is a queer comedy open mic, Tongue in Cheek, at Swan Dive Austin beginning at 8pm, so you can celebrate Pride at least once a month! For more events hosted by Swan Dive Austin, click here.

The House of Lepore in Austin also hosts a first Thursday Vogue Night beginning at 10pm for only $5 at the Swan Dive. Check their Instagram for more events throughout the year!

Drop into the Swan Dive Austin on the first Friday of the month for their live music showcase of queer and femme artists. Doors open at 9pm and tickets are $10.

Follow Temple Pride’s Facebook page, San Marcos Texas Pride’s Facebook page, Wimberley Pride’s Facebook page, the Marble Falls Pride public Facebook group and Round Rock Pride’s website and Facebook page for more details about future Pride events.

The Highland Lake Equality Center is a LGBTQ+ organization that includes the towns of Buchanan Dam, Granite Shoals, Llano, Hill County, Horseshoe Bay, Tow, Marble Falls, Kingsland, Burnet, and Spicewood, TX.

Riverside Pride hosts a social event on the third Thursday of every month for the LGBTQ+ community in New Braunfels and the surrounding area. Follow their Facebook page to receive notifications and see their website for resources and support.

East Texas

POV Coffee House and the Pride Community Center in Bryan host a free Coffee Shop Social Coffee Shop Social on the 3rd Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Visit with members and staff of the Pride Community Center while sipping on your favorite beverage.

South Texas

PFLAG Boerne, a support group for parents and friends of queer youth, meets every third Tuesday at 6:30pm at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Touchstone Community Church is a LGBTQ+ friendly church welcoming queer parishioners.

The Gateway City Pride Association seeks to provide support and resources for the LGBTQ+ community of Laredo. You can follow them on Facebook and see their website for resources.

North Texas

DFW Gay Live’s Facebook page has events going on all year-long celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride.

The Help Center for LGBT Health & Wellness serves the queer community in Fort Worth and Arlington. Check out their website for services and event information, as well as their Facebook.

Ways to Celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride in Texas: Final Thoughts

Thankfully, more rural Texas towns are taking the necessary steps to support and celebrate those in their community who are LGBTQ+. Nothing makes me happier than to see increasing acceptance and allyship across our state. Although, there is still work to be done.
