One of the things we loved most about staying at Fordson Hotel was its unbeatable location. Tucked right in Oklahoma City’s Downtown, it felt like everything we wanted to see and do was just around the corner.

The West Village District, where the hotel sits, is easily one of the city’s most exciting neighborhoods. Think of edgy galleries, stylish boutiques, and some of the best local restaurants and bars we’ve encountered. One night, we wandered into The Jones Assembly for dinner and stayed for live music that completely made our night. Another day, we caught a game at the Paycom Center, literally just a short walk from the hotel. And so are the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum and the First Americans Museum.

I’ll be honest — I’ve stayed in a fair share of hotels that all start to feel the same after a while. You know the type: generic decor, dim lighting, and that unmistakable “hotel room” feel. But Oklahoma’s boutique hotel, Fordson, with its 135 rooms and suites, completely broke that mold in the best possible way. The hotel offers smaller rooms for couples and spacious loft-like guestrooms for families and large groups.

The spacious guest rooms were more of an upscale artist’s studio than a hotel, with high ceilings and abundant natural light streaming in from the expansive steel windows. Custom-designed furniture, elegant lighting, and contemporary finishes paired with original architectural details that tell a story. The loft-like spaces were a true sanctuary to unwind, doing nothing except enjoying the cherished downtown views.

In Room Amenities

As for the in-room amenities, every detail seemed to be thought of by the Fordson Hotel! Luxurious beds and sophisticated in-room amenities like 43” HDTV, Malin Goetz bath amenities, Nespresso coffee maker, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, and complimentary Wi-Fi add the finishing touches for a one-of-a-kind experience. Not to mention some of the softest towels compared to even some of the 5-star hotels I’ve stayed at.

One of the best surprises during our stay at Fordson Hotel was dinner in Mary Eddy’s Dining Room. It’s not your typical hotel restaurant—it’s lively, welcoming, and full of personality.

The menu puts a modern twist on classic Italian favorites. We shared hand-rolled, incredibly fresh pasta and a perfectly grilled steak that hit all the right notes. Everything was meant to be savored — and shared, which made the whole meal feel a little more special. Paired with creative cocktails, it turned into one of our favorite nights of the trip.

For something more intimate, Mary Eddy’s also offers a private dining room for up to 20. It’s ideal for small celebrations and social events with personalized menus and a cozy yet stylish setting.

I like to squeeze in a workout even on vacation, and Fordson made that easy. Their gym is open 24/7 and has everything from cardio machines and free weights to a steam room and sauna.

Complimentary Shuttle Service

One of the best perks? The hotel’s complimentary shuttle takes you anywhere within a 3-mile radius. My husband and I used it to explore local restaurants and shops in the West Village District without parking stress. Just ask the front desk and they’ll make the arrangements.

Heated Outdoor Pool + Pool Bar

The outdoor heated pool was the place to be even in cooler weather. It’s lively, laid-back, and the Pool Bar keeps the fun going with creative cocktails and a playful food menu.

Pet-Friendly Rooms

We didn’t travel with our dog this time, but it was heartwarming to see other guests’ pups being treated like VIPs. Fordson welcomes dogs with open arms for a small pet fee of $50 for pups under 50 lbs.
