On a recent visit to La Jolla I had the opportunity to stay at La Jolla Cove Hotel and Suites and had a blast! La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites is right along the coast and creates an absolutely memorable stay. Every night we fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves and every morning we woke up the barks of sea lions. (For those who enjoy a quieter environment, they have more serene options as well). Parking can sometimes be hard to find along the coast so it was so perfect that we could walk to the shore and almost all of the activities in La Jolla.
The Room at La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites
We stayed in a beautiful two bedroom suite with funky and fun yellow walls! While the hotel is older, they have renovated the designs for a modern twist. There was plenty of spaces to feel right at home including plenty of storage space to hang our clothes and hide all our luggage (I do not pack light!).
When you’re always out and about, a vacation can be exhilarating but also exhausting. A good night’s rest is essential and I happily slept like a baby and woke up feeling refreshed. The best part was rolling out of bed, opening the large curtains, and watching the rolling waves from my bed.
After lazily rolling out of bed I would make my way to the patio (3 steps away from the bed) where I could sip on my coffee and see sea lions swimming through the ocean and lying on the rocks. I even saw a few dolphins jumping in the distance.
One of the mornings enjoyed a small breakfast in the small kitchen area.
Other times we lounged and relaxed on the couch.
There were plenty of mirrors for getting ready, but the lighting of the mirror in the bathroom was my favorite- I love the attention to detail that Pacifica of La Jolla Cove suites provided. The one sign of age of the hotel was the shower and bathtub fixtures, but we didn’t find it an issue as we still enjoyed both the same.
Other La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites Accommodations
The first morning we opted for breakfast on the rooftop patio, included with the stay. They offered a cold spread of assortments- yogurt, danishes, fruit and a pancake maker. It was a convenient breakfast, but the best part was the view. At night they also have lovely fire pits to watch the ocean from.
On one of the colder days we opted for the heated saltwater pool and the hot tub.
And when we wanted to relax at the hotel they had ping pong and pool.
We also made sure to get a good workout in!
Final Thoughts La Jolla Cove & Suites
I had such a memorable stay at La Jolla Cove Hotel & Suites! Their access to perfect views paired with modern design created the perfect atmosphere. With all the amenities swimming, ping pong, and pool and access to the beach without having to leave the suite, you hardly need to leave the hotel. Although if you do (and I do recommend it) you are a walk away from great restaurants, activities, shopping, and the beach! If you are looking to stay you can book here.
