As a self-proclaimed spa enthusiast (and waterpark thrill-seeker), I recently had the opportunity to experience the newly opened OKANA Spa at the OKANA Resort & Indoor Waterpark in Oklahoma City. After spending two days trying to be a pro surfer on the Flow Rider (not a pro, but I did manage to stand up for at least 30 seconds before wiping out) at the waterpark my muscles were tired and I knew this was going to be the perfect opportunity to try out the just opened spa!
Here’s my comprehensive review of the OKANA Spa OKC experience.
First Impressions
The spa’s ambiance perfectly balances contemporary style with soothing elements, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests. We were welcomed in and taken to the gendered locker rooms and I was super excited to see the sauna for a little pre massage relaxation.

The Spa at OKANA offers a variety of massage options, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Hot Stone. But I highly recommend checking out The OKANA Massage, which embraces the elements of nature with a relaxing massage with warm sand pouches inspired by the traditional Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi. If you’re looking for some enhancements, they offer some great add ons like a hand/foot scrub, CBD, Yoga balm, Warm stones or a scalp treatment.
My husband and I opted for a couples massage in a gorgeous room with a fireplace, which added to the romantic and relaxing atmosphere. I chose the CBD massage while my husband went for the “sampler” massage, which is a mix of aromatherapy, Swedish, targeted deep tissue, and warm stones. The combination of techniques in the sampler massage provides a comprehensive and deeply relaxing experience.
Body Treatments
For full-body rejuvenation, OKANA offers luxurious wraps:
- The Essential Scrub: Exfoliates with marine minerals for refreshed skin.
- The Essential Wrap: Combines algae oil and marine wax to soothe and replenish skin.

- The OKANA Pedicure: A luxurious pedicure experience combining exfoliation with soothing massage techniques.
Couples Treatments Room
Stepping into the couples massage room at The Spa at OKANA felt like entering a cocoon of calm. The warm, chocolatey walls and soft lighting immediately set a relaxing tone. One touch that really stood out to me was a the console table with a modern fireplace built right in! The flickering flames and marbled countertop created a focal point that was both stylish and soothing. There are seven treatment rooms in general, but the couple treatment room was definitely a treat with how large and cozy it was.

What sets OKANA Spa apart from others in Oklahoma City are its unique features:

Combining Spa and Resort Experiences
One of the best aspects of OKANA Spa is its integration with the resort’s other amenities. It was so easy to just roll out of bed after a previous day of all day fun and just walk a tiny bit.
