When my husband and I planned a quiet 4-day getaway to Corsicana, we were just hoping for good food, a little history, and a chance to unplug. But the Corsicana Arts and Entertainment District turned out to be the unexpected highlight of our trip, an artsy treasure tucked right into the heart of town. The district stretches between Beaton Street and Corsicana Main Street, right in the middle of historic downtown Corsicana. We strolled past vintage storefronts, local boutiques, and vibrant murals, all of which led us into a creative scene that felt both down-to-earth and inspiring. The best part? Everything was within walking distance.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect from the Corsicana Arts & entertainment District, reflecting on our experience of this entertainment and art alley.
Arts and Culture Experiences
Corsicana has become a haven for artists and creatives, and its galleries and art spaces reflect a thriving, collaborative spirit.
HaBLE Gallery
This contemporary art space pulses with the energy of both emerging voices and established talents from across the globe. The walls come alive with striking abstract canvases, delicate mixed-media installations, and the presentation of new work from a local and international community of artists.

Rotating exhibitions frequently spotlight regional Texas and international artists, while themed shows delve into timely cultural and social conversations, transforming the gallery into both a visual feast and a catalyst for dialogue.

From artist residencies that bring fresh perspectives into the space, to intimate pop-up dinners, hands-on workshops, artist talks, and vibrant community events, HaBLE blurs the line between art and audience.

Navarro Council of the Arts
Housed in the historic Warehouse Living Arts Center building, the Navarro Council of the Arts is the very heart of entertainment and visual arts programming in the city of Corsicana. Offering arts education to school and college students, community workshops, and high-quality cultural events for all ages, this non-profit educational and cultural campus is dedicated to promoting tourism and enhancing the image of the local community as a center for the arts.
Be sure to check out their seasonal exhibits or enroll in one of their many hands-on art classes.
Cook Education Center
A short drive from downtown, the Cook Education Center at Navarro College offers visitors a surprising and enriching cultural experience. It’s home to two standout attractions: the Pearce Museum, known for its extensive collection of Civil War artifacts and rotating exhibits on Western art and American history, and the Cook Planetarium, a fully immersive digital dome that brings the night sky to life.

Even for travelers who don’t typically seek out museums, this spot tends to leave a lasting impression. The Pearce Museum’s thoughtful curation offers a powerful look into American history, while the planetarium provides a chance to sit back and explore the universe in stunning detail

100 WEST – Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency
Located in a beautifully restored 1890s Odd Fellows Lodge, 100 WEST hosts national and international artists and writers for residencies. The result? A flow of fresh energy and new perspectives into the creative and cultural landscape of Corsicana.
This historic space also promotes the creative re-use of historic buildings that faced neglect in the late 20th century by retaining their original, unaltered space, light, and proportions. Visitors are welcome to attend innovative and engaging studio practices and writing sessions, offering a rare glimpse into the creative process.
Live Music & Theater
Corsicana’s live entertainment scene is packed with passion, from dramatic performances to nostalgic tunes that echo through downtown.
Palace Theatre
The crown jewel of Corsicana’s performance spaces, the 550-seat Palace Theatre dazzles with its art deco design and dynamic shows. Faced with demolition in the 1990s, the community rallied to save this historic landmark. After an extensive restoration, the theatre triumphantly reopened in February 2002 with a dazzling performance of Porgy and Bess, marking not just a return, but a rebirth.
Since then, the Palace Theater has hosted a stunning lineup of acclaimed performers, touring productions, concerts, and community events. Keep an eye on their calendar—you never know when a big-name performer might take the stage.
Corsicana Opry & Event Center
Steeped in history, the Corsicana Opry & Event Center is housed in a striking cherry red brick building dating back to 1905. Located in the historic downtown of Corsicana, this architectural gem spans three levels and is believed to be one of the first clear-span buildings in Texas.

Inside, a handcrafted wooden oil derrick frames the grand staircase, while original timber beams soar overhead, creating an impressive 27-foot rafter ceiling. Adding to its historic appeal is the building’s original Mosler safe, still secured within its vault—a nod to its storied past.

Today, the Opry is a vibrant venue for live music, concerts, weddings, receptions, and community gatherings. Its distinctive setting has even made it a favorite location for film and photography shoots. Just steps away from Corsicana’s shops, restaurants, and historic old buildings, the Opry offers both public events and private tours, making it a must-see destination for visitors and locals alike.

Warehouse Living Arts Center
The Warehouse Living Arts Center has been a cornerstone of Corsicana’s cultural scene for over 40 years. Founded as a nonprofit, its mission is to provide education, creative production, and development in the performing arts—encompassing drama, musicals, and cultural programming—while fostering community involvement. Over the years, the center has grown into a vibrant hub for arts education, with thriving programs for both youth and adults, including a dedicated children’s theater company.
It also serves as the year-round gallery space for the Navarro Council of the Arts, offering free public exhibits that showcase local and nationally recognized artists. Its gallery hosts beloved annual events such as the annual Quilt Show and Heart Gallery, in partnership with Navarro Child Advocacy.
