If you’re a fan of scenic drives, the Old Mission Peninsula should be at the top of your list. This narrow strip of land juts out into Grand Traverse Bay, offering breathtaking views of clear water on both sides. You’ll find charming wineries, gorgeous lavender, picturesque orchards, and quaint farm stands along the way.
The region’s claim as the “cherry capital of the world” was unmistakable. Sprawling fields were adorned with grapevines and trees heavy with luscious, ripe cherries.
